We live in a rural small town, a couple blocks from the Baptist church. A pair of mated gray foxes denned under the church for several years. Our across the street neighbors feed a feral cat colony. We have seen the fox trotting under the streetlight with a kitten in its mouth…never a fullgrown cat, but kittens, yes.
Redtail hawks also sit on the telephone line and hunt those feral kittens. Again, I’ve not seen a redtail here get a fullgrown cat, but I don’t doubt that could happen.
