Would you buy a horse that needed Dorm gel for farrier?

My first mare got aced or dormed half the time when being shod. It was handler dependent. Trainers & I didn’t have any problem with her. If someone showed any sign of weakness, they were done. It was easier to just ace her than try and retrain a mushy barn owner.

She could also sense weakness in a farrier. Some general purpose shoers are unsure of themselves when faced with a Saddlebred, even if they aren’t doing anything special. The mare had her way with a couple of those guys.

Other than that (‘that’ = being generally testing of everyone) she was a nice horse.

Got one but he is new to me so I am hoping that better handeling will remedy this.
