I don’t think this is the NBC feed, so they have nothing to do with it.
The top five are within 20 penalties striking distance of each other for team competition–this could very well turn out to be a show jumping competition tomorrow, depending on the course and how much oomph the horses have after this xcountry course. I, for one, will be really excited to watch tomorrow.
Jung’s a tad behind the time at the stadium.

She said NBC didn’t show it. The live feed is showing everybody. I thought she meant what’s now on network tv.
That little skinny jump getting out of the water. Ugh! They make it look easy, some of them, and it’s amazing how many narrow little jumps there are. The horses are probably like, geez, all this space and you want me to jump at that tiny little spot? Okey-dokey.
AHA - I bet you’re right about why they didn’t show much of Philip’s ride. That really hacked me off! Whisper’s tail was TOO CUTE. I want a photo of that to show people who complain about us mean, nasty equestrians who “make” horses do all this terrible stuff…
I am sneaking glimpses of CC on my iPad while at work this morning, and am trying to time things so I can watch our folks go. I have seen Karen and Will, but missed Tiana. I bet Karen is beating herself up for those time penalties (I’m sure you all have discussed but I don’t have time to go look). I will be looking for William FP next. And yes, Team BG is taking no prisoners today, that’s for sure! If we can’t win (we we quite obviously are not even going to medal, unless a lot of disaster befalls others in Stadium), well, I’m happy to root for the home team. Good for them.
Sorry, I am watching network tv. They showed perhaps 30 seconds (if that) of Phillip’s ride.
Shaping up to be a Germany vs GB fight for the podium!
Has anyone determined who the online NBC announcer is yet??
Oh… it’s Germany in the lead for team… And Ingrid tied for 1st place individual
Wow. MJ made time. Beautiful ride.
Anne, I’ve only seen one refusal at that skinny out of the water (but I’ve only seen maybe 12 go). Horse went off to the right, guy circled and tried to go through the “obstacle course” of claptrap set around the water, knocked over a decorative barrel (which must not have felt very good to the horse’s leg) and then went back through water to the left-side option. Most seem to be negotiating it extremely well!
That was Lucinda Green.
Sweden is right there in the hunt, too. They are only 1.4 penalties behind GB, and less than 6 behind Germany.
A very pleasant surprise actually, Sweden breeds some fantastic horses that seem very suited to the short format.
Umm… 13 anyone. Rebecca Howard.
rebecca off…canada out.

Only been one. Couple slips on top but most have made it look dead easy.
Oh, man. Jung just put Germany on top. Mixed emotions - I would love to see GBR get a top medal, but Ingrid Klimke and Michael Jung are such fantastic riders, I can’t say I am sorry to see them way up in the top rankings - currently sitting 1st and 3rd!
That was Mrs Fredericks.
Rebecca Howard off, but ok. Darn.
