If you like the Detentes, you might want to try Adam Ellis. A reputable saddle fitter that sells Adam Ellis saddles told me that Adam makes the Detente saddles . . . and that they are basically the same saddles but with a different name and for a different price point. The Adam Ellis saddles are amazingly inexpensive and with lots of “custom” options for not a whole lot more $$$.

I don’t know if I like them or not, have never ridden in a Detente. I have tried an AE and a Frank Baines Pirouette and was not a fan. Too much saddle. I’m fine in both a BC Eloquence & Vinici, although if I could find something with a more narrow twist, that would be great. I LOVED my Custom Victory and Advantage, would be great to get something more along those lines, although WIDE mare-sy might not allow that.

I am very surprised Ideal would tell you that they make them and which models are similar.

For Adam Ellis, it really depends on which model you are riding. Some are more narrow than others.
