Your bullying stories: riding above hate

OP, you don’t control what people can write in response to any thread. It doesn’t work that way.
We have moderators on this BB and they decide what is allowable.

If your name is publicly associated with these websites, blogs or whatever they are, I think people are well within the rules to mention it.

But remember, she is different people when she starts different blogs:). Major mental dissociation going on here.

Would love for the OP to come back and correct us if we are wrong.

We’re not. Read the dressage forum post about Dressage Hub and FB.

I think two things are interesting.

The FB page mentioned uses material (photos, links) that is simply shared (poached) from other pages.
There are several such items that mention narcissists, narcissistic behaviors and how to deal with them.

The irony is rich.

By “poached” I assume you mean taken without permission i.e stolen, just like the many videos Dressage Hub has taken, repackaged with their own opener and slapped their logo on - even on an existing on like FEI TV! While fair use may allow you to use material from YouTube it does not allow you to take copyrighted video and alter it to try and pass it off as your own work and then profit from it.

i won’t go to the anti bullying page because I hate to add to her click count z(since it’s the only way she can measure success) but I would be shocked to find any original content. Even the blog she was apparently planning to write was going to be “pulled” from this thread.

Well this is interesting.

This is from 2014, posted by a girl from Rhode Island. I wonder if she is the originator of the 2015 twitter ride above hate

Have you heard insults along these lines? Dont worry because your not alone. Bullies are everywhere; But they dont have to be in the barn. We’re a community, so dont you think its about time we act like it? Bullying in the equestrian world is a HUGE issue that some people choose to ignore or just simply can’t see it. But with a little bit of hard work, you can join the amazing Ecogold, Horse Junkies and me raise awareness about this issue. So join the movement! Together we can face our demons and ride above hate

Ride above hate appears near the end of the video

Young friend in 6th grade was being bullied at school by one particular boy. She asked me for advice since I’m an ‘old lady’! I told her to tell the boy that the next time he bothers her to loudly tell him that if he didn’t leave her alone she would grab him and kiss him in front of all her classmates. Must have worked because she was never bothered by that boy again.

I guess what I’m trying to say in my above post is that speaking up for yourself is at times necessary and can be done in such a way as to hand to problem back to the bully in a way that makes him/her uncomfortable. Then let go of the problem! Be nice and professional in your actions forward. As for cyber bulling; just block that person, Do not respond. Ever. A one sided conversation is awfully hard to carry on!

@DressageFancy, I understand you were most likely kidding with the girl, and while it might seem crazy, probably don’t recommend to an 11 or 12 year old that they do something that would not only get them suspended or expelled, but would also most likely get them charged with assault, because it has happened in a scenario that happened exactly as you suggested.

The world is just a different place than most of us grew up in.

Dressage Fancy it’s nice of you to respond to the OP, however this thread is apparently a manipulation created by a person who seems to have ulterior motives for posting, as well as an “identity” crises (the old “It’s me! It’s not me!” song and dance).

I wouldn’t play the game. I don’t use facebook, but the people who do are seeing some very red flags waving around this person. Susan Wachowich the “Dressage Hub” person, is apparently the OP, and she seemingly has a dubious reputation for online “bullying” that precedes her.https://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/f…y-dressage-hub

I don’t know the woman and have never read anything she’s written but we’ve seen in the past, members of this board having pictures and videos of them riding, posted by people without permission and with an axe to grind.

It’s ugly and when a person starts a thread like this when they are known to be behaving badly online toward others it is truly disturbing and bizarre.

ETA: That the OP came back to this thread instructing members not to put names or links here is telling. A google search of a name mentioned here (such as Susan Wachowich) or an entity (such as Dressage Hub) will lead to this thread and to the thread on the Dressage forum.

Good reminder, I needed that, thanks.

It is hopeless to try to be nice to those that just bully.
In a way, bully posters was said to be one more reason TOB closed.

Sounds like some are carrying that tradition on in other places.
