Your cat's not getting enough cheese!

My little one LOVES fruit! Nope, she won’t eat salmon or other fish flavored treats, but she will maul your face for a slice of pineapple. She doesn’t eat it (I don’t think she knows how), but she licks the thing dry. The same with strawberries. Anything that crunches must be investigated: she doesn’t like carrots but she Has To Know What It Is before you finish eating one. She doesn’t get people food regularly and only gets cat treats (chicken flavor) when I have to bribe her to remain still for brushing.

I know, grapes are lethal so she doesn’t get those. Don’t worry, I am not feeding her fruit baskets filled with raisins, lol.

My 16-pounder loves food. Last night she dug corn on the cob out from the compost bucket and gnawed it all off. In the last day or so, she has proven she likes marshmallows, peas, pears, lettuce, tomatoes, quinoa, bulgur wheat, and watermelon. Of course she adores meat, cheese or especially ice cream. She ate the middle out of a blackberry cobbler I left to cool on the counter one day. Ugh.

She gets all this by vaccuuming up everything the toddler drops that the dog rejects, or digging it out of bags you THINK are safe. She knows just how to get the lid off the compost bucket unless it is perfectly snapped.

She is supposed to be on a diet. All the other cats have lost weight, but she has not, shockingly. I can’t pick up the toddler drippings fast enough, I suppose.

Had a kitty who loved honeydew melon and cucumbers. Loved to the point where she would growl and hiss through her stuffed face if she even caught you LOOKING at her while eating a piece

Oh, she’d steal your broccoli too lol

Her sister loved Doritos and popcorn

:lol::lol: I had a Butter Boy Junior-as a very small kitten, he chowed on a plateful of butter pats shaped like flowers-my mother made them for her luncheon(;)) , and we found him looking positively nauseous with butter smeared all over his face…it was 20 yrs. ago, but I can still picture his poor sad little squinty barfy butterface…
:lol::lol: I can picture that face!

My old cat loves pretty much all chip-type foodstuffs…and I can’t even think about tuna without both kitties running to the kitchen to await the empty can. How do they know ??

I dunno 2Jakes, they KNOW.

The nanosecond that can opener pierces the can, it must send out a very loud onlykittiescanhear noise that screams “TUNAAAAAA!!!”

My girl cats both have adventurous tastes-- the siamese LOVES yogurt. And milk (of course!). In fact, tonight I lost my glass of milk to her when I was distracted and she did a face plant into it. My black kitty loves popcorn and she and both of my dogs sit in a neat little row in front of whoever holds the bag. My boy cats eat either cat food or meat and nothing else.

my big orange cat is crazy for watermelon, practically fights me for “his piece” :)…also recently discovered he likes rainbow sherbet…

My cats are fond enough of cheese, but what they really feel they are getting shorted on is ice cream.

Mr. CH and I foolishly left ice cream bowls on the coffee table the other night … the cats did dishwashing duty and now they are really adamant that they need more.
LOL!!! Mine loff Dulce de Leche ice cream. Something about that caramel flavor.
But so hard to eat when it’s take a bite, elbow cat out of the way, bite, elbow, bite, elbow :lol:

Thanks all for great laugh about the oddities your cats eat and their little idiosyncrasies about their addictions.
