Your Horses After You Die

Oh well, I can’t drink alcohol - medication issue. But I hate gin anyway. I’m heading for the refrigerator. Amber O’Doul’s no alcohol beer with some lemonade, a shandy.

I’m 72 with health problems and my husband has dementia. Neither of my kids is in a position to look after my horse. Mare is 19 with Cushings and is HARD to medicate. She’s had a mild bout of laminitis caught early with no sequelae but is an easy keeper needing careful management. I can’t see asking anyone else to take over her not-so-easy care, and I too have specified that she should be euthanised when I die. I’ve had her since she was 3, and she’s very much a one person mare. I can’t stand thinking of her bewilderment if I wasn’t there. So- selfish and practical reasons!
