Zippers broke New Boots

I have never had a company reimburse me free shipping plus a discount if an item didn’t arrive on time.

I have also never seen someone offer a full refund for a broken zipper 3 months later. Especially on cheaper boots. Zippers on boots are picky, and a lot of people try to force too narrow boots to fit by forcing the zipper up. Also, boots that are too tall break in and slump and that puts extra wear on zippers.

I am not sure why, after a full refund, the OP can’t just go get new zippers.

Having purchased (and returned) the same boots, I personally would put that money towards a better quality used boot. I didn’t see anything that screamed longevity with the QHP.

There has been many times where SmartPak, Dover , Chewy etc have credited shipping when things didn’t arrive in time /as expected -it’s standard business practice …it’s also something I didn’t ask for nor did I complain about, and it certainly wasn’t thrown in my face about them doing as such… I have purchased more expensive boots than these from Italy and they offered to replace them free of charge no questions asked …I’ve never dealt with a company offering to share private emails over a customer service issue -it’s beyond unprofessional. This was a real eye opener-glad I didn’t purchase custom boots from this shop.
I certainly can replace the zippers now or like someone else mentioned get a better quality boot.

I purchased custom boots from this shop many times & have never been less than delighted with the experience. TDR has always be awesome to work with.

I love The Distinguished Rider. I ordered a pair of dress boots from her. They totally did not fit. She went out of her way to get them fixed and make changes to my original order. New colors, etc.
I have found she is very flexible.
Mistakes happen. She bends over backwards to fix them and even make changes when I changed my mind.
I have 2 boots ordered through her. Dressage and field boots. I would not hesitate to order from her again

One more thought, maybe she is no longer carrying them due to quality issues and getting the company to honor any warranty

I didn’t say you did. I had purchased the same boots back when they came out and I returned them due to their seemingly low quality.
