Watching. The course is winning.
Dominic Gibbs and Natalie Jayne looked best so far (intermission)…
The last two before the break were good as well. It’s a pretty impressive course.
Is there a link to watch the class? I’m lost in the prize list.
Thank you.
I mis-timed the dog walk and missed Grace Debney. How was she?
Beautiful course- very pretty jumps, and I think the design did a nice job of splitting the difference between the riders who could be expected to contend for the car (!!!) tonight.
She was lovely. A bit behind the leaders for my taste but will certainly be called back.
She was quite good. I’ll be surprised if she doesn’t get into the second round based on the trips I’ve seen so far.
Dominic’s ride to the birch oxer on the far side was the detail that set him apart from the rides I saw. A lot of the trips are getting there on a line that leaves one straight stride or puts the horse jumping on a curve, to the detriment of the horse’s shape in the air. He got there having already made his turn, left two straight strides, and produced a quality jump.
Moulton’s horse is an honest trier.
I’m so impressed with how they are running this class. So efficient. We’ve been down here for two weeks and the entire operation has been class from top to bottom. I had occasion to talk to some of the Heritage folks today and they agreed. This place is the real deal. The USEF really blew it…
FYI, the judge booth is below and to the left of the camera so your perspective on the live stream is very close to the judge’s.
I was wondering where the judges are sitting. Thanks!
There have been a couple of very nice trips - Dominic, Natalie, and Grace really stand out so far. Most adjustable horse goes to Luke Jensen’s guy - did 4, 5, 6 in a forward 6 to really quiet 6 instead of 5. Quite impressive actually!
I agree that Dominic Gibbs and Natalie Jayne were the best so far. A real shame that USEF bungled this situation so badly. Everyone I’ve heard from has said that WEC is an incredible venue that’s equally well-run.
Even the cat is intrigued by tonight’s class…
Wow, there are a lot of boys in this class.
Who is judging? I couldn’t tell from the prize list.
I think the announcer said Andrea ? and Jefferey Welles, but I won’t swear to it.
The rider on Any Given Sunday was very well mounted. He still looks great.
