2 wheel vs. 4 wheel

I miss Thomas, but he was from the UK, where things are done differently, prices are not what they are here.

If you are at all close to Lebanon PA, the Martin Carriage Auction is taking place Friday and Saturday at the Lebanon Fairgrounds. Free to attend, no dogs allowed. There is almost every kind of the common vehicles for sale there. Prices vary widely, from low to quite high, depending on how badly someone wants THAT carriage. You really should attend if at all possible, see and learn as things are sold. Big variety of name brands, both 2 and 4 wheeled. You can certainly find a 4 wheeler for less than 1500 pounds a wheel!

You do not mention what kind of equine or driving (fun, showing Pleasure, CDE hopes) you want to do with the vehicle. The styles used in each vary widely, along with the costs. With more information of your plans, it is easier to give better specific information to help you. DMK covered many of the sites selling vehicles across the nation. Worth looking at to see the pricing and styles. Of course many are high priced, some are cheap for a reason, but you gain knowledge just looking at the photos and descriptions.
