Zen has since been to his first show (aged 9 weeks) where he won Champion Youngstock and a whole bunch of suitability classes for horses 3 years and under. It was a Royal status show with huge entries so needless to say I was pretty pleased with him. Even though he looked like a moth-eaten soft toy!

Selah, thank you for thinking of us. Christchurch is a lovely old city and it is awful to see it brought to its knees like this. Fortunately we live in Auckland - a long way from where the quake struck.

Born the evening of 2/24 a dark bay embryo transfer Rousseau colt from my mare EM Wolkenstanza (Wolkentanz I/ Rohdiamant). This is a full brother to my 2009 colt Reflektion who is now in British Columbia. Pictures of him and Rococo (our Romanov/ Donnerhall colt) tomorrow. I promise.
2011 Foal Announcements
I’m waiting for my Oldenburg mare Sandro Fe (purchased from Bernie Ball) to have her first foal in May by Quaterback. One of our other mares, KWPN by Don Primaire, is due in May by Neostan/Florestan. I can’t wait to post pictures of these two. I am hoping that Bernie will be able to see Fe’s foal, but I received a call this morning from her cousin Dorothy and it doesn’t sound good. Very sad.
Our second foal will be here soon to join Kallanica (Callaway 4 x Kaiser de la Cour x Lantaan)
Ahsianita is ready to pop with her Olympic Canturo foal (presumed to be a colt). Foaling date is March 14th.
Here are pics of Rococo, my Romanov colt from EM Diva (Donnerhall/ Gardeulan II). Rocky had a little bit of a slow start with a low IgG, but is now growing like a weed and feeling great. Like her other Romanov babies, Rocky is the ultimate pocket pony.

We are awaiting two foals, best guess is within a 1-1 1/2 weeks - the mares were bred a month apart, but they seem to be on the same schedule. Joy foaled at 323 days last year which would be 3/3.
The first is Ublesco X Numero Uno and the second is Zirocco Blue X Jupiter.
Congrats to all we are waiting for our mare in foal to Apiro, should foal in April! Can’t wait!
Born Saturday the 27th at about 2.10am my beautiful liver chestnut colt by Don Frederico out of my mare Ruby who is Magic Ronaldo/DonnerHeist.
NO white on him at all. But very, very, very cute. Born on a rainy night and right in the mud despite the time and effort I put into a lovely green foaling yard.
My first foal and his mother’s first foal and I’m so proud of us both- text book delivery, I got to break open the sack and clear his nostrils and mouth and then stood back as my mare did everything perfectly.
They’re now chilling out in the foaling stable and much happier in nice warm straw, my mare lost her colostrum so we had him tubed for 300mls then I bottle fed him a further 200 mls now waiting for his IgG.
He’s beautiful and she’s an amazing mother, so happy with them!!!
We got a beautiful filly by Connery out of our Don Kennedy-Argentinus mare Olivia on 2/25. She is wonderful all around: looks, conformation, personality, temperament and health.
Went out yesterday to our young horse farm and took some snap shots of our Callaway 4 x Kaiser de la Cour x Lantaan filly at exactly 1 month old (Born January 27th)

First Balt’Amour foal born.
The first foal for Balt’Amour was born two weeks ago out of a lovely TB mare. He is owned by a young women in S. FL who plans to keep him as her next Hunter. The foal is a jet black colt with just a few white hairs on his forehead. He is going to look exactly like Balt’Amour. We and the owner are thrilled with him. There is nothing more elegant than a solid black horse!

This is the FIFTH time this mare has foaled during the day!
I was flying home from the Annual General Meeting of the Welsh Pony Society, and while I was in the air, she foaled! She ALMOST waited for me to get home! :lol:
He is a palomino colt, with a blaze, two hind stockings and one front pastern is white also.
He is sired by *Wedderlie Mardi Gras LOM (2010 WPCSA Sire of the Year!!!) and out of my favorite broodmare, *Holyoake Sonique.
