2011 FOAL ANNOUNCEMENTS HERE

I will hopefully be one if the last to post here but since several are getting close thought it would be fun to have a running thread of pictures and birth stories.

The rule is: PICTURE(s) REQUIRED!!! and ideally you can come back and update your post with more photos as the foal grows.

Maybe the mods could make this a sticky??

My first foal of the year arrived 2 weeks ago (1/23). H’Ala Mode (Jones Hall x Apachina)

Next up is Chiquita Thais with an Ivory Coast foal. She is probably a week or so from foaling.

pics will have to wait til morning…I need to thaw since it is 22 degrees. Our Paint stallion (White Tie Affair)'s first foal arrived…and she too is all white. Dam’s name is Foxy Lady so I was thinking along the lines of White Fox. Wee one got dried off and blanketed PDQ.

You weren’t kidding about pure white! Is that common?

Richard’s first 2011 foal has arrived

Richard’s first 2011 foal was born last night. Dark bay filly with a blaze and 4 socks. She will be a big girl.

She was bred and is owned by Bridlebourne Stables www.bridleborne.com. I went over and took several photos this morning which are posted below.

Not particularly, no…but we have more than one here!
her sire, our Paint White Tie Affair/grandson of the white TB Bright White. He is a max white sabino and may have splash in there too…his sire is sabino and dam looks to be both sabino and splash.
“Junior” pictured at just turned 2 at FEH/Fair Hill in 2009

Junior’s sister Lily

so we ummm own a lot of blueing shampoo! I also don’t try and keep them white. They only get “blued” for shows or if the stains get nasty. ( I also have a gray mare that is near white now. Sigh.)

So many cute babies already! Mary Lou - I am anxious to see your colt.

He is just stunning!!!

Mine is due the end of March, full sibling to last year’s baby. (Thoroughbred, goal is a racehorse, by Demon Warlock out of Mystic Power.) Dad is dark bay, mom is chestnut but she’s never thrown a chestnut. Both mom and pop have some chrome - I just like chrome so hoping for a lot!

Guaranteed Gold / American Iris foal is born!

Lovely palomino DW filly born 2 nights ago with some fabulous markings and a gorgeous and beautiful dished head on her!

I sold Iris last year to a lady that will be riding and showing Iris this year once she weans her foal but looking at this cross, I really hope she re-breeds her to GG again - soon!!! This cross was absolutely magical and Guaranteed Gold really helped improve the mare in areas that she needed help in …

We had our first foal on 2/18 at 4:30 am. He is a gorgeous bay colt by Bonheur X Pearl (Prince Thatch xx-World Cup III). We have named him Bombs Away GCF as we still have some military themed names to use up from last year  You can see pictures here- Bombs Away

1 down… 15 more to go!

He’s very nice, GCF, and his markings are so good. Congratulations.

Our two foals were born in December.

A gorgeous 99% TB buckskin colt, Timbermill Zen:

and a smart bay colt by Prestige VDL, Timbermill Kestrel:

Zen has since been to his first show (aged 9 weeks) where he won Champion Youngstock and a whole bunch of suitability classes for horses 3 years and under. It was a Royal status show with huge entries so needless to say I was pretty pleased with him. Even though he looked like a moth-eaten soft toy!
