• I am still looking for a name for her papers - so suggestions welcome - must start with an M or a W = Sire is Manchester City - dam is Wolkendame by Wolkentanz I I call her Luna, so …
so cute! what size are you expecting her to mature to?
I am expecting her to be a medium. Sire is 14.1, dam is 12.2H. So far all siblings (same dam, different sires, but sires all about same size) have all been around 13.1-13.2H.

Your little one is very cute!!

This is my colt, FCF Silvermoon Magic (Magic Aulrab x FCF Silver Stardust) who was born on June 30th. Due to a sequence of intrusions from Murphy’s Law, it took 3 seasons to get this mare in foal. The breeding that finally resulted in a pregnancy involved a 7 hour round trip drive by my wonderful husband to pick up the Equitainer from FedEx after I spent hours on the phone with FedEx insisting that they get that Equitainer out of Memphis and on its way to me since it was the second shipment in a row that had been delayed in Memphis. He was worth the wait!

Dawn, he sure is worth the wait! Just Gorgeous!

Expecting 3, all going well, 2x Irish Draught and 1 x IDSH. (More blacks :D, one has a very strong chance of being black, one will most likely be born black but will grey, and I’d give money on the IDSH being a bay)
I got the grey and the black Irish Draughts I was expecting, but was completely wrong about the bay IDSH. The mare ended her run of lovely (mostly) plain bays with a bright chestnut with a star and 3 socks.

Photos Loopy, you know the rules!!

Hey everyone! Here’s my filly Sky’s the Limit aka Sky, born on July 16th 2013. She is by the thoroughbred stallion Sea Accounts and out of my quarter horse mare. She’s an awesome little filly! This is my first breeding experience and foal so just looking for opinions on Sky and how she is looking conformation wise so far. Know correct conformation in mature horses… just haven’t evaluated a foals conformation before! And I know they go through many changes/awkward phases before they fully mature! But anyway here’s a conformation shot of Sky at a week old (sorry this is the best confo shot I could get of her!)

Sky looks very nice. She is nicely balanced and has a good length of neck, nice head, good shoulder and short back. And from what I can see her legs look fabulous. You should be very pleased.

Thanks so much for the feedback  I am SO pleased! She is so much fun. It has been such an amazing experience… getting to see her birth and watch her grow! She just turned 2 weeks and has already grown so much. Crazy!

Here is our girl at 1 month old. She is developing beautiful and ground ties like a trooper for her baths.

Thought I would post an update on my Manchester City (Weser Ems) filly by my Wolkentanz I mare.

La Luna went to her Weser Ems inspection last Monday and the inspectors really liked her (whats not to like about a cute pony baby?) La Luna was given a Premium designation. Her dam, Wolkendame, got some nice scores too including an 8 for breed and sex type and an 8 for overall conformation.

There was a pro photographer there Nature Nurture Photography (Erin Wrightsman) and she posted this teaser on FB:

and then my craptastic skills behind a camera  (pls note handlers grin ;))

Here is an album of my Bon Balou colt, Bonaducci, out of my Alla Czar mare… He is also on page 23 of the Derby Preview issue of this week’s Chronicle!

We finally have a video of my filly by Londontime - Sandro Hit - Rouletto.
The foals of this mare are special. They look good for 2 weeks after birth - than they change into a fat round teddy bear with a pony(winter)coat. Eventually they change back into something that looks like a WB foal.
In some cases this metamorphosis is as late as October/November, but this one decided to look “normal” already in August  I rather like her …

Yesterday morning we had our last foal of the season, an absolutely incredible filly, Lorelei ?? (not yet named), by *Mynach Master Class and out of our mare Smoke Tree Black Pearl.

We couldn’t be more thrilled not with this filly, a really excellent way to finish off the season!!!

My new colt: Redwine x Mistletoe. He is four days old in this picture. Thinking of calling him Rembrandt.
