2013 Foal Announcements! Let's see those babies!

He’s been under the radar pretty much and I think this is one of his first foals… if I’m not mistaken (at least there are none listed on PQ). He’s really a pretty cool horse, I wanted to get him back undersaddle, but never found the time to ask permission. Unfortunately, he’s built more like a QH for my taste =/

My favorite mare just had her foal on Friday morning, early. It’s a boy! He’s by our stallion too, so our second “full” homebred. What a great year it’s starting out to be!

Here’s pictures

I also added pictures to the album of the filly we had last month if anyone is interested in looking.

We have a brand new baby. A bay colt by Fidertanz out of EM Wolkenstanza (Wolkentanz/ Rohdiamant). He is the 6th time we did this cross and was sold in-utero. Looking for an F name.

Our first two fully homebred babies are on the ground. The first was a filly, foaled 2/24/13. Here’s her pictures. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151319437405922.464632.576450921&type=1&l=e288e2b332

The second was a colt, born just yesterday 3/22/13. Here’s his pics. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151256048760922.460613.576450921&type=1&l=39f55ad035

Welcome to little (or NOT so little…) Casper! By White Tie Affair (APHA by Wild By Design xx) out of Windlass (by Waldaire).

Casper is DW too? Man, I’m loving these DW ones. Wish my white mare had have obliged for me this season…

Aww look at him! Yep, he’d be DW as well

Beautiful Mary Lou - congratulations!
I love the name Fanfare.

Our first foal of the year arrived yesterday! A big, leggy filly by Candillo Junior (Candillo Z/Caretino/Lord) out of our retired Mecklenburg show-jumper, Lantana Melodie (Lonely Boy/Monsun). She arrived with a late spring blizzard, earning her the name Cold Front HH, but we’ve been calling her “little chilly”

She’s lovely!

In responce to JB’s question about my GRP filly.

FS Don’t Worry is a red dun

Please don’t take this as not believing you, I’m just trying to figure this out  I looked him up, and he’s registered chestnut and looks chestnut. His sire is registered as and looks buckskin (but could be smoky brown, hard to tell from the 1 pic I could find) and his dam is registered as and looks palomino. I’m just trying to figure out if him looking so chestnut, as opposed to red dun, is just one of those “they don’t usually look like that but occasionally they do” situations

To me FS Dont Worry looks like a red dun. And after watching this video, you can pretty clearing see a stripe down his back. Also a horse can carry for the creme dilution gene and the dun gene.
