At FEI competitions, there are āspecialā requests made and accommodated all the time. Show jumping practice at times not just before show jumping is one example. FEI stewards oversee any schooling both inside and outside the norm and must be scheduled. Harry Meade had done this before at an FEI event, thatās why he asked at this one. This sounds like a problem with āwhoās in chargeā of activities and Harry paid for it.

If you friend has any sway in the way they film things going forward, really my only complaint was some of the shots in dressage. Yes yes, I get that zooming in on the horseās feet might be āartisticā, but the judges arenāt just judging from the knees down 
there were more than a few stretchy circles in which the horseās carriage was nowhere to be seen lol.

Seems like it was in the best interest of the horse and gives him 0 advantage in this case imo. His horse clearly was upset and he did have permission before flying across the ocean.

Obviously someone else cared, and the implication was that it was another competitor. Chances are the competitor was from the US. If itās common at FEI events to allow an exception like the one Harry requested, apparently someone in this very experienced field didnāt know it.
