Yeah!! Lol.
There was one night many years ago at Harrisburg when I completely freaked out all the braiders by accident.
I went out at a very odd hour in the middle of the night to flat one in the ring when it would be empty, and all the braiders thought they must be at least two hours behind schedule when they saw me walk into the barn. Lol.
The year I qualified, the Medal kids schooled at 3:30 in the morning. I have never been in such a traffic jam in my life. I think I jumped three jumps the entire time. What a zoo.
My horse, who happened to be a chestnut mare but was not very Chestnut Mare-ish, was an absolute saint.
Anyone know if the Chronicle is doing their usual round by round commentary?
I believe they are.
According to this, they will be doing their blog:
I also saw something from Ava Stearns saying that she would be doing commentary (yay!).
Iāll be around in the morning but then I have stuff going on in the afternoon so might miss the second round and test
Iāll be counting on you all to post your thoughts on the interesting early rides so I can catch up, because I canāt be up at 5AM to watch 200+ equitation rounds, much as Iād like to.
Wait, how do you even make the print so small and faint?
Lack of commitment to WCAG 2.0 AA.
I also have a run and some loving on my own horse to do today, so I will miss some of the fun, but I will definitely be here for round 2 and the test!
I didnāt ride at Harrisburg, but one year we took some kids to the Maclay at The Garden (thatās how old I am ) and I rode one of their horses in the 3am schooling session
. Boy that ring was small!
Everyone was well behaved because there was no room to do otherwise.
The Garden was a terrible setting for a horse show.
And also absolutely fantastic.

Here we go.
That was a great first round!
And I love her sweet gray horse with his lop ears.
I remember there was at least one year when the first rider in the ring turned out to be the winner. And I think she stayed on top from start to finish.
Weāll see what happens today.
Course is riding well so far. Hope I donāt jinx anyone!
Dumb question, but I have not been following eq since the grandchild aged out. Who is judging today?
Jack Towell and Timmy Kees.
Between them, theyāve seen a few things. Lol.
