2C vs. 3C CWD saddle?

I’m looking for some opinions/personal stories…

I’ve ridden in an SE02 17.5" with a 3C flap, and I loved it. However, the flap was maybe a bit too long. I’ve found an SE02 with a 2C flap and I’m very close to purchasing it…but before I do, can anyone tell me how different the flaps are, length and “forward-ness”? Unfortunately I don’t have the option to ride in a 2C at all.

I’m 5’2" and have decently long legs for my height. Any thoughts or past experiences??

Thank you!!

A friend of mine just went through this. She is similar in height to you–the 3c was about 1 to 1 1/2" too “forward” and a touch long. She found a 2C and bought it sight unseen and loves it. She went down 1/2 inch in size and went from 3C to 2C and I’d say the flap is minimally shorter and about an inch less forward.

Thank you!

I’m trying to figure out how to attach a picture, but I’m not sure how…

The C is a forward flap. 3c is longer flap than 2c. I am 5’3 with not super long legs and I ride in a 2c

Thank you! So the 3C is longer, but is it more forward if the seat size is the same? Krod mentioned that her friend went down 1/2 a size and the flap was less forward, but is that the case if the seat stays the same and just the flap size changes?

On a 17.5" CWD:
2L flap (standard) - 13.5"W x 13.5"L
3L flap - 14"W x 14.5"L
2C flap - 14"W x 13.5"L
3C flap - 14.5"W x 14"L
