What happens if someone sells their horse at auction, but then backs out? Takes the horse back home, doesn’t collect the sale money.
I’m guessing the auction goes after him for the commission amount.
But if Knucklehead doesn’t care what they do about it, and he was disappointed with the sale price, I could envision that.
But. If that happened, Falcon still has to live somewhere and that costs money. So many questions raised!

She was one of a handfull of people that were reporting Ceral’s progress in the beginning of his quest. I believe there is another TT involved, The LezBequestrian from ND that helped as well.

@OverandOnward I’d assume the auction may attempt to get their commission, even on a No Sale.
Possibly the Good Sam who had both paid that & has him again? 
If you look at the comments under the TT that @MunchingonHay linked above, the woman who claims she won the auction for Falcon and was then ghosted went on to say several people were told they had the high bid, and that the authorities were involved. 
Sure hope whoever has the horse is giving him the care he deserves.
I’m following both Pete’s new owner and the paint horse person on TikTok. Will be interesting to see what happens next.
I don’t know how often people are still looking for Falcon but felt I should try again last night and came upon a very familiar username on a couple of car forums. I’ve not found any connection between Johne123 and Georgia (where Cyril claims he was sent to) and I hadn’t found any other website that uses that username until yesterday. Could be a coincidence but I don’t know.
Found the username on northamericanmotoring.com on a thread about Mini’s being spotted in Colorado. johne123 basically explains the area they live in and drive through often (rural Boulder County down to North Denver via the I25). Also found the same username talking about VW Jetta’s on vwvortex.com explaining their need to sell a jetta to get a mini in Boulder and Denver, so they should be the same person. While a car thread isn’t exactly a lead on where Falcon might have ended up it’s the only place I’ve seen the username johne123 other than the auction site and a flicker page that has multiple pictures also placing them in CO.
Makes me wonder if Cyril lied about where Falcon ended up and that looking in Georgia might have been throwing us on the wrong track. Anyone know people in Boulder/Denver area who might have a look around? He’s won a few other horses from the auction site too (Cricket in Nunn, CO another TWH) (Ruby in Weatherford, TX a tobiano QH) (Fancy in Sonora, Ky a spotted saddle horse) (Mouse in Cleburne, TX a QH).
I don’t know how I missed the updates on Pete (Patrick). But it’s great news and I’m happy for him.
As for Falcon’s fate, it wouldn’t surprise me if Cereal was pissed he didn’t get $50k or whatever absurd price he expected for that horse, and ghosted the buyer. However, maybe he lied about having required paperwork and when Falcon “sold” and Cereal had no acceptable proof of verifiable ownership, the auction company nixed the sale. Does anyone really know what happened?
At least Falcon was cute, quiet and rideable. Seems like he’d be fairly easy to rehome. Just not for a ridiculous amount of $$$. And I hope that sticks in Cereal’s bony craw for a long time.
Patrick (Pete) had a safe landing in Co. with an equine photographer to live out his days on her 100 (?) acres.
I was hoping that LezBequestrian would be able to get Falcon, but I have no clue what happened to him. Its like he vanished into thin air.
Cereal’s Insta account is down. And I am blocked on all of this other SM accounts. He is on LinkedIn and his account is open to the public.
His IG is still up, he just hasn’t posted in a long time.
I remember seeing a picture of Pete looking all fuzzy and chubby under tack. I so hoped I could have him but logistics and cost were inhibiting So glad he’s in a happy place.

Yup. just search his name too and they pop up.

At this point I’ll have to scroll way back … or jump to post #1 I guess … to find his actual name. For some reason I don’t remember it.
