These trails work for riding horses, but I’m guessing many of them are impassable with a wagon.

Very true. There are limited options for safe travel with a wagon. The highways and roads are really a poor idea.

That explains how that is working. The edges of the horse’s feet looked fairly natural, to me, with minor chips and scuffs, but they could be a well-fitted easyboot.

I was wondering if drafts have especially tough pavement-hardy feet! I doubt that most-riding type horses could last unshod on pavement.

Yes, makes perfect sense that he can maintain the horse’s feet. And probably the easyboot is a better protector than shoeing, anyway.

I wonder how often he has to replace easyboots. And if he replaces just one at a time as needed, or replaces all of them at the same time to keep the same traction/protection on all four. It’s expensive regardless, but he doesn’t seem to have many other major expenses to cover once he has his outfit complete. And as we know, no foot, no horse.

I zoomed in so you can really see the boots

My shoer says my mini has the toughest hooves of my 3 - all barefoot trims.

For everyone worried about Pete

Yay! Happy news. I was beginning to wonder if anybody had bought him. Wishing Pete lots of happy years to come.

Oh good – I hope! Anyone know Pete’s whereabouts, even if it is just an adjacent state? I keep hoping that Pete has found a mild winter climate somewhere.

Owner appears to be in Colorado.

I hope it isn’t improper to speculate that Pete may have had ownership, transfer to the person who has been caring for him. Happy sunset years, Pete. May you rest comfortably from now on.

So happy to see this I don’t even care if Asswipe Cereal got his asking price

@OverandOnward - Good Samaritan who had custody of both horses since the Great Adventure Quest (:face_vomiting:) petered out was in MT .

:smiling_imp:Now I need to see if Cereal gloated on Insta…

Or maybe he is ranting about people who expect to be paid for taking care of his horses.

It sounds like it was a surprise to Ol’ Knucklehead that Pete was gone, if he even knows at this moment. She ghosted him away from him ha ha That lack of property paper work finally bit him and she found a work around, I think. Someone that had been watching and working for this for a very long time finally got Pete safe but there is some conjecture that Falcon is in the wind.

What does “Falcon is in the wind” refer to? He was sold at auction, has a new owner, is that right?

From the Stop Cyril Bertheau FB page
With Admin’s permission
Pete’s new owner :clap::grinning:

For some odd reason, about every 3rd time I try to view a TikTok vid, app insists I install it.
NTYVM :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
SO…
I’d appreciate a Cliffs Notes on her vid

Deets, pls?
Last news was Falcon went to a new owner/high bidder in GA?

As for Asshat being unaware of Pete’s soft landing… Did his Insta have that info?
I can’t see that either

What I saw was that that buyer might not have gotten the horse even though she won the bid; he failed to provide papers and dropped contact. Not sure how accurate that is, however… could be totally wrong.

:rage:Typical Cereal!
But, if Pete’s rescuer got involved, maybe the 2 veterans could end up together.

I’ll add your info (screenshot text, no names) to the FB page if that’s okay w/you

It could be a wild rumor so take it as such! I thought it was a guy in Georgia that got him and that hadn’t been disputed until that tidbit popped up so who knows?
