2Raw2Ride Social Media

Yes. His trip has morphed from ancestral “quest” for media attention, to serial mooching, to video auditions, to partying and entertaining himself. With a constant undercurrent of lying, animal abuse, and evading the law.

What a douchebag.

Not close enough obviously, but it’s a way of making the news “charged by Buffalo” often gets a mention.

that is a very common practice for people who are popular (for what ever reason) on social media. I follow a few train geeks in England and they never post live because they have had people encounter them.

Maybe the Buffalo could charge some humility onto Cereal. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

is Francis one of those train geeks? I love him.

I was surprised to see poppa so close in the photo as well. And in the video he states that the tourists are too close. (which they were).

The good news is that while everyone is gallivanting all over the place the horses are hopefully being taken care of by somebody who knows something about horses.

Geoff Jen and Jago are my primary. I hit Geoffs offerings ASAP.

Makes sense, I follow a few that do the same but Cereal has the added incentive of having the law looking for him! I do think things are easier for the horses now, or at least hope so.

Branding on borrowed horse. Death grip and driving seat.

Looks like the Tik Tok vid isn;t showing. Go to 2raw2ride’s Tik Tok to view.

I thought that was Pete at the branding.

No, white markings are different. Pete is in the corral with Falcon. At least that’s how I see it.

With a loaded trailer behind, much of the time – we don’t know about Yellowstone of course.

With horses getting in & out of the trailer as he gets in & out of the truck.

Just guessing, of course.

Guess he may not have taken the horses to Yellowstone, because too many people, no assurance of a people-less space. He may want the attention but Yellowstone would present a major risk of being outed and stalked within the park. Of having his current location internet-blasted to the world and everyone he would rather not know.

Guessing that Yellowstone was the most discrete part of his journey (so far).

Possibly. Maybe.

There are no criminal complaints against him to have the law ‘looking for him’. If they see him, hopefully they call on their animal control resources. But he is not breaking the law, so they aren’t after him.

Sorry for another downer reality check (re thread readers generally), but …

Right now, re this thread and the_mare_stare TT, the only evidence that ‘the law’ and ‘the ranchers’ are looking for him are one Tik-Tok’er who is located in Texas, and who is a bit attention-seeking herself.

She & her crew may well have made a lot of phone calls to Montana and have heard what she wanted to hear from the other side of the connection. But just based on experience, that may or may not mean much.

The ‘ranchers’ (whoever they are) and any sheriff’s offices contacted may have said less “we are looking for him” and more “if I happen to see him”. I doubt many people can drop whatever they are doing to look for this one yahoo.

In all honesty, the law can keep an eye out for him, but without a criminal complaint I doubt they are even allowed to expend resources to actually hunt for him.

He is doing nothing criminal or illegal. Nor can they do more than inspect the horses and warn him. It is not their job to harrass citizens who are not breaking the law – and he isn’t (until he is).

Again, as sad as those horses look to us, it is highly unlikely that they are in bad enough condition for legal action by authorities.

Inside our bubble, the horses look bad and need rescue. We are also an echo chamber reinforcing our concern and urgency. But outside of our bubble there is a different reality for LE and likely the general public as well.

Here is an example of what it takes for faster action on an LE seizure in most jurisdictions. From another COTH thread about a seizure in VA.

EDIT TO CLARIFY – THIS PHOTO IS NOT ONE OF 2RAW’S HORSES. This is an example, only, of what LE might seize immediately. Or … if the horse is on grass like that (the rescue destination, not the pick-up location), they will not seize.

If the tiktok lady is speaking the truth she said she talked to the sheriff in Idaho and the brand inspector in Madison County, MT. Law can stop and talk to whoever they want to talk to especially if he’s on the special interest radar. Our local brand inspector is watching for him (she’s a personal friend) but he isn’t going to come through here I don’t imagine, too far north. Neglect/cruelty is criminal and horses in pasture are different than horses being pressed into work. LEO can stop and ask him for his papers and if he doesn’t have them that is criminal. Whether all that aligns, who knows, but it is possible. I live in the area where he’s traveling now and I know the “atmosphere” of the locals and the law. I’m quite realistic about it, things would have to come together just so but based on past performance it’s quite possible he could still run into a fine at the very least.

If ever someone was deserving of this title, it is this guy.

Of course. Because he is not a cowboy. And he cannot ride.

Douchebag indeed.

And once again … Authorities DO NOT WANT TO SEIZE.

AND seizure could be a very problematic outcome for both horses in any case, as seizure could mean they are destined for auction. The best case is that the sheriff turns them over to a reputable rescue, but that is not the case in the vast majority of jurisdictions. This decision is not at the whim of the sheriff, it is black-type procedure, whatever location.

Reality: Brand inspector in the strictest jurisdiction on the planet; and/or horse-expert sheriff — there is a .0001% chance they seize 2Raw’s horses on first inspection. Maybe less than that.

I don’t care who he collides with. Re setting our expectations realistically, this is the best possible outcome we can expect …

And since he’s from out of state and ‘just passing through’ and his progress to date validates that expectation, maybe not even a fine. If he’s out of the jurisdiction in 24 hours that’s LE’s best case scenario – not their problem any longer.

If the sheriff wants to be real hard-assed, Knucklehead gets a ticket and a fine and a ride to the courthouse to pay immediately. And a ride back to his horses. But there is likely not enough justification even for a ticket. In all honesty.

What Knucklehead is doing is not illegal anywhere in the country. I wish reality were different.

I hope the_mare_stare knows of something much more real going on and that is why she is suddenly dark & diversionary re Knucklehead, posting only happy stuff of her own horses. I hope!

He will get a fine in MT for paper work. I know you’re trying to be some sort of realistic voice here but you aren’t all knowing. There is a disturbing amount of leeway for horses’ conditions but these horses aren’t tucked away in a pasture, they are in work and struggling and NW knows horses. He’s going to sell them at the end of this and they are close to the end so hopefully it all goes fine. You seem to think we’re all hoping for rainbows and butterflies but I’m not, he’s entirely most likely in violation of paperwork and if that happens he does not get to go on his merry way in MT. I can’t speak to other states but not in MT. I sure as hell can’t move my horses across county lines and get questioned without consequences. I mentioned above that if the horses actually get taken away they will be in better hands, and they will. I don’t think they will though; someone will be buying these horses in the end of all this. MT can do horses in its sleep and they are valuable here, they won’t get funneled to slaughter or antyhing like that. Rescue or humane society type ownership. I’ve SEEN this and been a part of it here. He’s likely not in MT any more so that changes the scope, I think it’s all on Washington now.

According to the mare stare (link posted upthread at about post #710) he’s in Montana near Jackson, Falcon is missing a shoe but still ridden, horses don’t look very good and moving very slowly.
