this is how people like him get by. Willing to bet he has few long term friends

What is his pace per day with the horses? 30 miles a day is reasonable for a fit horse. How much is he trailering? If he’s trailered most of that, what the heck is the point?

Actually a common hobbling technique.

I’ve only once seen hobbles go from head to one front foot and certainly not set down on the fetlock heading out to the side to heaven knows where. The one time I saw that technique used all the horses ran off rigged up that way and the guy doing it never did it again. I’ve seen correctly used hobbles (above fetlocks, closer together than this) with a lead from the head to the hobbles, not snubbed down, just low head set. Unnecessary on a horse that is trained to hobbles which I’d bet a donut Falcon is not, though he has the patience of Job. I’ve seen people picket to a front with a single hobble which, again, above the fetlock. I’ve also seen horses really screw up their legs with a single hobble tied off to something, fronts and hinds, and I’ve seen a lot of untrained horses all run away no matter how they were strung up. lol

A tiktok worth watching:

No veterinary records provided. Offers above $25k entertained. PPE available at buyers expense.

Screenshots from the tiktok for those like me who can’t read as fast as that video zips by:

Thank you for the screenshots! I gave up trying to read it after the third time watching it. I wonder what the reason was for putting the video together that way

Cereal’s crazy train has completely gone off the rails if he thinks he’s going to get $25,000 for those horses

I wonder how they are screening for bogus and shill offers. They probably have a lot more of that than they do real offers. Especially in their requested price range.

One can only hope the bogus offers are annoying the crap outta him :smiling_imp:
:thinking:Maybe I should submit another…
Please, sir, may I offer you bupkiss for your horses? Rendered worthless by your lack of care

I am actually not surprised by this number.

He knows that people want to get these animals away from him. He knows that lots of people have more money than logical thinking when it comes to saving animals.

:rage:
If it gets Falcon & Pete away from him, I agree some maroon (thanks, Bugs Bunny) can toss $25K at him.
Hardly enough for him to live on.
Or to fund his documentary :face_vomiting:

I suspect anyone who mentions a PPE or who asks where the horses are gets screened out. They’re probably hoping for someone new to horses and impressed by their adventure rather than someone who might report publicly on the state of the horses.

In the screenshots above PPE is not forbidden, but not offered either.
OTOH, ā€œunfortunatelyā€ no vet records are offered either.
Just more examples of Stoopid :unamused:
Anyone who’d pay for a PPE, would most certainly get an earful that would not flatter Asshat’s ā€œcareā€.
No vet records because he has none, except the long ago vet who treated Falcon - for lameness? -near the start of this Shitfest.

Is the reason there aren’t any vet records simply because Nitwit didn’t keep them? Or is it because he’s being snaky and doesn’t want to share them. I’m thinking of Pete’s colic episode.

Then these three points stand out to me:

  1. A member of Cereal’s team is contacting the potential buyers? Is this because he is such a celebrity he can’t interact with mere civilians? Or is he just too busy trekking across the bars and bunkhouses of western America to respond on his own?

  2. ā€œA PPE will only be allowed to a buyer under contract.ā€ I’d love to see a copy of that contract.

  3. ā€œSale is contingent on a clean PPE.ā€ Who determines the definition of a clean PPE? I can’t imagine being tied to a contract where I’m haggling with Cereal about whether Pete and Falcon have ā€œcleanā€ PPEs.

And the ā€œcolicā€ ( tyingupcoughcough??)

#2-Ooh! Maybe I need to revisit my submitted form & ask for a copy of that contract.
It’s got to be a real Piece of Work
#3-how unlikely is a ā€œcleanā€ PPE on either of them?

Shooting himself in the foot ain’t he :unamused:

I think it’s a good point that someone may give him his price just to get them away from him. No PPE, no conditions at all. There are people who will do that. Hopefully it turns out well for the horses if that happens, but the more-money-than-sense doesn’t promise that it will.

No vet records because he knows they will be posted on the internet. Also, yes, maybe he threw them away as he walked away from each vet.

I guess we don’t know if he is underway again with one or both horses. On wheels or on horseback. He started with one horse, theoretically he can cut down on how much he’s taking with him.

Or maybe he’s trying to orchestrate an arrival – wherever it is he plans to arrive.

He still has a couple of weeks or more before Day 100, as I remember. He can chill somewhere. If the horses are grazing and resting, it will look as if he ā€œarrivedā€ at his destination (wherever that is) with them looking better than they did when he started. Since the horses didn’t look that fit when each of them started.

The way I read it, if you want a PPE you can only get it if you’re under contract to buy, and that if the PPE is clean, you’re obligated to buy.

Not that any sale is contingent on a ā€œclean PPEā€ as PPE only happens if an under-contract buyer does one.

I suspect that PPEs are kind of a foreign language to the folks involved in possibly buying, and attempting to sell, these poor beasts.

When you sell.horses or any crap online, your asking price is public record but your actual selling price is not. You save face with a big ask even if you give the thing away eventually.

I expect he has no idea what a PPE is, or that it’s highly unlikely his horses would be considered fit for the job they are doing.
