āPlease someone pay me, take on all the horse bills, and then retire my aged horse for me. In time for winter.ā
I donāt understand how he has been able to look at his horses and not see what he has done to them. Does he really not see it? At all?
What does he think that other people think of their condition now? Does he realize that his internet followers have watched those horses go significantly downhill throughout his ātrekā?
I get it that he is a mindless narcissist with zero empathy. But I canāt wrap my eyes around what he sees and does not see.
I think the internet peeps are wishing for a documented vet review of their current condition.
And agreed, the PPE has nothing to do with a sale, which is as-is, in their current pitiful condition. Itās not like Knucklehead is going to take a few weeks to āprepā them, put weight on and heal up problems.
Unless there is a buyer offering money who really thinks they may be in ok condition? Hope any such buyer didnāt commit to buy and put the money up first, non-refundable, for the sake of that buyer. Although it might get one or both horses out of that situation.
If Pete is not going to heal up well soon, and Falcon proves resilient (yet again), he could take some days off and then ride through his finish point in triumph on Falcon, without Pete, who could go on to a buyer. He doesnāt have to bring all the stuff Pete has been carrying.
Although I have a feeling that both horses need weeks, or months, not days, to get back into presentable condition.
Wildly speculating, here.
To make a grand finish and prove the snipers (like us) wrong when the horse(s) show up not limping. With someone elseās ādonatedā money.
Fixing their hocks wonāt help for his purposes, though, if their feet are busted up, too. Maybe lower legs as well.
If they are in as bad as condition as seems plausible, Iām not sure that there is enough bute in the world to make them walk up sound. Especially with Knucklehead on board.
