Yes, that would be the rational, non-delusional thing to do. But, alas, we all know what his pattern is regarding decent decisions.

I suspect that the expectation of big bucks (for the horses) will die hard, and that the best we can hope for is that medium-large bucks come through and are eventually accepted; that the earlier reported offers haven’t all evaporated with the end of riding and, therefore, abuse (supposedly).

Otherwise, I strongly suspect that whomever lets him and the horses stay with them last will end up with them abandoned at their place.

I am guessing Pete’s hind is shot because it was his only sound leg, supporting the others. Shredded Feet. Or Shredded Pete. Sickening. Fortunately this dude is so unappealing (thank DOG!!!) that it will never fly on Netflix or elsewhere.

Sigh. Ugh. He’s back on the road again, Sanders Beach, Idaho. The mare stare has pictures of him in his underwear (pardon me for not swooning in ecstasy :face_vomiting:), riding bareback in a lake, still, still, still dragging poor Ol’ Pete. If only Ol’ Pete weren’t actually old, things might be going a little better. Ugh. Sigh.

ETA: That’s in Coeur d’Alene, so presumably Kootenai County, which is the one that ordered him to not ride without vet clearance. "But officer, I wasn’t riding, I was swimming!" :face_vomiting::roll_eyes: Soggy Froot Loops. :bowl_with_spoon:

I am convinced that the people along the way who provided overnight space for him and the horses did so to help the horses. There is nothing redeeming about Cereal and that would be evident in the first 5 minutes of a conversation. Bless those people who helped the horses.

Hopefully there are no media/studio people who think his travels would make an interesting story but then again we did have “Tiger King”. :pensive:

I got that vibe from his first stops in Texas. Just people trying to help out the horses, like the cattleman who trucked water in for them.

Thank you for that visual image to start my morning. Ugh indeed.

Does Frosted Flake think he’s doing something therapeutic by “swimming” these horses in this lake? (And grossing out anyone unfortunate enough to be on the shoreline?) :smirk:

Why is he still in Idaho? What is keeping him from wrapping up this ugliness?

perhaps someplace he heard that for laminitis you stand the horse in water.

There is no guarantee that his videos show current location or are posted in chronological order.

When I saw KooKoo4KoKoBucks do the water ride, I was really, really hoping that it was going to be the Grand Finale.

{Sigh}

The videos of him swimming in the lake are from 8/2/2023. I went to the orginial post and she said uploaded it shortly after it was happening. She did not know who he was.

She also remarked that Pete pooed as they entered the water right were the kids and people were swimming.

If you watch TMS tiktok you can see the username of orginial footage, then go to her account.

Why did he return to the county where he has a no ride ticket. And why so close to his finish line? Yet doesn’t cross it?

Falcon is still wearing the bell boot on the RH. And the TT’er said that Pete is three legged lame and she is not a horse person so I would assume his hock issues are really bad if a layman can tell Pete is off.

It is so hard to see him dragging Pete like that. Pete is probably not strong enough to stop and stay stopped.

I think he went swimming to show himself without a shirt – basically, in minimal clothing.

His horses are so thin and under-nourished. He looks like his meals are regular and plentiful.

Also … lake swimming aside, I wonder how much of the horse’s current condition is dehydration? Probably for an extended time. They eat grass. Maybe still occaional free grain? But where are they getting daily water?

So is he now soggy cereal after his lake ride?

First of all, ewww. No one wants to see that. :face_vomiting:

Second, I believe both of you are right. He’s no doubt genuinely perturbed that the majority of attention he garners is about the welfare of his horses and not about his own fabulousness.

Despite his claim to some sort of familial vision quest, I think this whole thing started as a way to draw attention to himself after he was passed over for a low tier reality show. He cannot accept that he is not Grade A, Prime Time Beefcake/Reality Star/Social Media Influencer material. I’ll wager that the mere thought of going back to whatever mundane existence awaits him both scares and sickens him. And so he postpones the Grand Finale.

Oh, how I loathe his puny, self-centered, cruel little soul.

Honestly he would have gotten no attention if not for the negative attention. Pete breaks my heart. At 20, he should be in the pasture or enjoying the quiet life. Shame on the person who gave him away as well. Probably saw the opportunity to unload an older horse on a schmuck

Bingo! I think you nailed it. He can’t get over that he wasn’t picked for some stupid reality show and this is all about getting attention.

I thought he got him at an auction? But I don’t know.

Either way, someone didn’t want to retire him - retire him, not drag him across miles and miles of rugged terrain. Actually auction is even worse. If that is where he came from, someone was basically offering him to potential killbuyers just to get him off their bill. Or putting him into the cycle where horses are moved from one sale barn to the next, until a true killpen scrapes them off onto a truck, or else they end up in a dirt lot somewhere.

How to fail your horse(s), is the story for both.

Pete has really suffered through this – both have, but Pete has the least resiliency and resources. I so hope that something good comes for him at the end.

The dehydration is bad, but that eye says “I have given up” :cold_sweat:
I wish horses - any horses, not just these poor souls - weren’t so accommodating of any human who has custody. :frowning:

I keep returning to this thread, & the FB page hoping to read this travesty has ended.
Asshat cannot believe anything positive is going to be the result of his failure.
And he must see his originally stated intent has long since circled the drain.
Or can he really be that Stoopid?
