I would guess he only has “friends” (and I use that term loosely) like him. Birds of a feather sort of thing. In other words, a small group of self-centered, self-congratulatory users and abusers who currently plow through life on what they believe are their sexy physical attributes and charismatic allure.

How mature of him. He’s a petulant spoiled brat.

He gives a bad name to Petulant Brats everywhere! :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

This is starting to feel very Sartre/No Exit-ish :grimacing:

So there are certainly online personalities that are abrasive and annoying, but somehow have charisma and attract a following. Like all those out of control stunt dudes. But I think they have a better sense of performance and editing. And generally they are only harming themselves. Not animals.

Cereal linked Shioks official ad on horse clicks to his insta. Ya know, just the place people with $50k go to buy a horse! No ad for Pete…

“with a slim build” … that’s an understatement.

He’s selling him as 100% sound?

I just looked on horse clicks and couldn’t find the ad.

I feel like this ad was written by a 9 year old girl who’s passionate equine experience is based on her vast stable of “My Little Ponies” and stick horses. :joy::joy::joy:

I think the gelding is damn tough to have survived 4 months under the absolutely incompetent care of Cereal. He deserves a soft landing far away from that meathead.

What are “remarkable gaited abilities” I wonder…

So.

If I were looking for a horse, and didn’t know the history, I’d be comparing this ad to others from truly reputable and experienced sellers. Sellers who lists virtues, of course, but also some deficiencies and what a new buyer needs to be able to manage them.

I mean, this is the perfect horse, something I’ve never seen before! What is the seller not saying, would be my first impression.

But.

We know that there are many idealistic buyers out there with more money than sense. My guess is that one of them will land him. With luck they have great pasture for him to live in when they find out this is a bit too much horse for them. And/or needs too much maintenance.

Also … I guess we are waiting for the Triumph Finale Post. From the wording in the ad, it does seem that the long ride is over.

Link for you;

It does say ad is under review. I’ve never advertised on HC, so not sure if that is standard.

So, Falcon is in Montana. Pete? Some auction barn somewhere? Cereal? Unemployed in Austin, basking in the afterglow while waiting for the bucks to roll in?

Muscular and shiny? I see a very dull horse with lots of bones sticking out. I greatly doubt the 100% sound part too. What a weeny.

Just out of curiosity, what does $50,000 buy in the horse world these days?

The last one I bought was a $1,200 OTTB, great on trails, jumping and hacking, with show experience and perfect manners. I got a deal because she’d been neglected and was thin with rain rot, looking pretty scraggly. But sound, bright-eyed and eager to go!

In my world, $50k can get you quite a bit!
Here are some results from a recent sale;

I could get a good show gelding, mare, two year old, or even a 3&1 for $50k.

In hunter jumper land, you can get a good horse too just with more searching & depending which level you’re showing. You’re not going to get the hack winner at WEF, but an import or a nicer young horse. Some step down horses at that price too.

As for quiet trail horses, you can find plenty of healthy, quality bred, flashy and fancy broke ranch and trail horses below the $50k price.

My dressage GP friend has horses at this price point and Falcon could not hold a candle to her horses. That is for sure. I know you are being retorical, but its scary that he ‘thinks’ that Falcon is worth nearly twice what he stated a few weeks ago. When he was priced at $30K but, maybe he only valued Pete at $10K?

I too would like to know where he is, where is Pete (both somewhere in Montana) and where is Cereal? How is he paying board, feed, care? Oh he most likey is not feeding them.

When does ‘summer’ end up in MT? I am sure Fall and Winter are coming soon and both of them do not have the groceries to go into a harsh winter.

This did not quite pan out to what he invisioned.

AND The ad is down off of HorseClicks. When I saw it last night, it was pending review.

:crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:I’m hoping someone contacted Horseclicks & gave them the 411 on “Shiok”& they took down the ad :smiling_imp:

Or Cyril (now he’s done, I can use his name without gagging… Almost :nauseated_face:) got wised up by a potential Buyer reaming him up 1 side & down the other for that total dumpsterfire of an ad. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
$50K for a non-registered 13yo Walker? :joy:

@SLW you nailed it. “One and only… lead horse… remarkable gaited abilities… eye-catching stature” @ 15’1? :joy:
The whole thing - besides running on & on with no real info, makes my brain hurt!

I only hope Pete got taken in for a small sum by someone at the end of the fiasco.
Auction might have not gotten anywhere near any expected price, but at least a home.

@OverandOnward I’m on pins & needles :expressionless: waiting for the piece of fiction detailing the “quest’s” end, as told by Himself.
I wonder if that Family Tradition included Daddy & Bro bailing his sorry ass out with truck, trailer & most certainly :moneybag:

My thought too. I bet that’s why the ad was unapproved. Mods thought it was fake. Which is too bad because he could have met a Nigerian prince.

My guess is that this is just one in a series of mooch board situations, where some kind soul lets the horse hang out in the pasture for free. Not a boarding barn, not a rehab facility, maybe not a horse person at all, just someone with fencing on their property, like a big back yard.

And it is scary that he’s upped the asking price, while seriously devaluing the animal through continued abuse. Makes it even more unlikely to find a buyer. And more likely that Falcon will end up being dumped. Sigh…

Tons of feed in Montana right now and winter is still quite a ways away. Odds are good the horses are eating well unless he has them in a wonky place. He could fatten them up handgrazing on free grass if he was so inclined but of course I doubt that. If the horses are in Stevi they really are in a good location for being fed/rehomed/sold and cared for if he has found someone, anyone, to let them go graze in a pasture.

I would be 0% surprised if they don’t sell quickly, and then they wind up running through Billings at the end of the month.

He will see where some flashy, ranch horse brought $50k and be delusional enough to think that’s where he can get them gone fast & for the price he wants.
