BLS is going to bear watching… it’s a haul from Missoula but tends to get higher prices. There is an auction in Missoula with the next horse sale Sept 9th. It’s a fall horse sale so will get some extra attention, wouldn’t be surprised to see them there. Pete is probably the highest risk for just getting run through loose somewhere obscure or craigslist type. I need to look at him again and remember what he looks like exactly. Any more there are so many random venues for selling horses it’s hard to watch them all.

Yes, it appears that, accidentally, he’s landed the horses, Falcon at least, in a pretty good spot for their futures. Assuming they are in Stephenson or thereabouts and it’s not just a word in the ad. He has pasture-mooched more than once in Montana, so has contacts there and elsewhere that might be used again, particularly if the internet fame and/or dubious company of Cereal himself accompanies them.
Pete – on the minus side, he’s lame, but Cereal may not be mentioning him because of waiting for that to “clear up.” On the plus side, he has a very distinctive blaze for anyone looking out, it narrows to almost nothing in the middle.

Dang! The Horse Clicks ad is down? And here I was, gearing myself up to make an inquiry on a non-registered 13 1/2 year-old (?), 100 percent sound (?), muscular TWH with a slim build (?) that has remarkable gaited abilities (?).
And as an aside, was it truly a 1,500 mile journey in 117 days if a notable portion of it was in a horse trailer?
The $50K price tag is another reflection of his grandiose thinking about his own importance in this world and his individual grandeur. “The one and only Shiok, Cyril Bertheau’s lead horse.” Give me a break. Like that’s supposed to mean something? And automatically translate into $$$?

If this is how we’re valuing horses these days, I should really sell mine. I could probably pay off the mortgage! 
I will be flabbergasted if anyone in their right mind buys either one of these horses for even close to 5-figures.

Does anyone know where I can find a lame TWH type horse that will need serious farrier work, at least six months of veterinary bills, and a mental break before I can determine if he’s even rideable? I’d really like to spend a lot of money. In fact, I’m willing to get a loan for 50K so I can find just the right horse. I’d especially love to brag about having a horse that was in excessively misogynistic TikTok videos so I can feel bad about myself as a woman. Is such a horse available?
