I keep watching for them but haven’t seen them yet. Honestly landing in a pasture south of Missoula MT is not a bad place for them to be and hopefully find new homes; even if they get sold off word of mouth with “home grown” brand inspections they will most likely be ok. They have more potential than most untrained broodmares or long past retirement age half trained horses and those are still getting attention on our sale pages. There is a horse sale in Missoula this weekend but I didn’t see them in the catalog, not surprisingly. If anyone in that area is watching for them they should be at that sale. https://fivevalleyslivestock.com/HorseSales/tabid/7042/Default.aspx
To date – we don’t know what he has saved and held back for that magic revenue-generating film release – there are no videos of him talking with depth and appreciation about how wonderful the horses are, every day. Their personalities, their interactions. How they have taken care of him. What their companionship has meant. Etc.
The only public praise he has for the horses is the sale advertisement.
The average Harley-Davidson rider has more love for his motorcycle. A lot more love. Even has the logo tattooed on his body. Would do anything for the bike. Even if he sells it. (Probably a he, but might be a she.)
I’m pretty sure this whole epic odyssy has evaporated for him; he’ll sign off on the horses for whatever is easiest. I keep saying, our horse values are still high here and we have lots of grass and hay. The best thing he could have done was drop them in SW MT among horse people. Which wasn’t even by design but maybe/hopefully karma was watching out for the horses. He’s off with his shriveled fame and they are hopefully eating late summer grass surrounded by real horse people.
That’s a pleasant mental image and I’m going to believe that’s true until we hear otherwise.
That’s how I see it; living in the general area helps.
I’m sure that there are people in that area of Montana who are aware of the whole situation. Being the society that horsey people are in, I’m surprised that more information about the horses’ location and general condition hasn’t leaked out. All most people really want is knowledge that the two horses are being well cared for.
Right! And there is a local that caught the whole “end of ride” in Wa. Surely people in the area are talking about it at the tack and feed stores.
Its kinda nuts that the whole thing has gone totally radio silent.
Same here. If they were closer and at an auction, I’d go bid on Pete, take him home, fence off my hayfield, build him a shelter, give him the medical care he needs, and he’d never have to work another day in his life.
both of them have earned their comfy lifestyle.
True, but Pete really broke my heart with what he had to endure. Plus at an auction, old, used up quarterhorses are a dime a dozen so Pete has less chance in that situation. Hell, I’d take them both.
Barf. He’s changed his LinkedIn profiles to show himself with the 2 horses.
Let us hope he gets questions – “Oh so cool! How are you and your horses doing now?”
I mean, I hope people are more interested in the horses than in him !!!
Let me guess. It’s the final photo from his travelogue, the one with the flag.
If so, too bad it can’t be linked to the obnoxious, self-aggrandizing, in-your-face post that went with it.
Too bad he didn’t use a screenshot of him doing his neener-neener dance and flipping the middle finger, with law enforcement in the background.
Or of him chasing after Falcon, who clearly did not want to be caught.
Or of his two horses tethered to something inappropriate, like a bicycle rack.
Or him “having a beer with the mayor,” who was sitting, oblivious, several yards away.
Of course there’s always the non-horsey photo that captures his character perfectly. I’m referring to the shot of him sitting on the ground with a bottle of whiskey and a Playboy magazine. Yeah, I’d hire that guy.
By the way, doesn’t Prince Charming have a court date soon?
The strategy on the these small-stuff court cases to keep rescheduling and moving it back. There’s may be something that if the citing officer doesn’t show up, it will be dismissed.
If this is considered to be at the level of a traffic ticket I’d say there is zero chance that anything meaningful comes of it.
Exactly.
I assume at worst he will get a fine.
The transcript did make me giggle how they had to keep stopping him from speaking.
It felt very on brand.
Case dismissed as of yesterday, as we thought.
Where did you find that info?
