I tried to post the message below and got a 403 error. Since I copied and pasted part of it from a different web site, I thought that might be it. Competely cancelled it. I then retyped the message and still got the 403.
This is what I tried to post:
“At the request of the family, the name of the third Soldier will not be released at this time.” From Department of Army
Update: I tried to outsmart the COTH server and copied the entire above post. Pasted it into a new reply and then deleted everything except what I wanted to post initially. It worked, but I still don’t know why it wouldn’t take the initial comment.
I just typed a comment in the H/J forum which also included some quoted words (not copied and pasted, but typed by me), and got the same error.
My update: I tricked the server by typing the quote without the quote marks, then editing the post to add the quote marks. Ta-daaa!
“Test post to see if quotation marks create this error.”
Let’s see.
Hmmm… no issue for me.
Let’s leave this thread here and we’ll see if others are having issues, and we’ll try to narrow down the cause.
