No, no, no FF. It’s not “senility” anymore. Nope  It’s Intellectual Overload.
There now. Doesn’t that sound better?

Fernie you must go to the website to get the full effect. Just reading our replies to it cannot do it justice. Truly something; I’m just not sure what!!!
Wow. Just wow. Great thread. Excellent find, OP. Well done ferreting out of scumbags selling horses. Spent a great morning on this thread.
I know I’m not good at math, but (i.e., 1 person 1 hr = 2 people 1/2 hr ea). HUH??
Oh, for the love of Pete, look at this.

They sell signature tack to go with their hypoallergenic horses.
I believe that they are saying that you can get a maximum of one “person-work-hour” and that “person-work-hour” can either be ONE person for ONE hour, (1 person x 1 hour = 1 person-hour) or TWO people for a HALF hour (2 persons x 0.5 hour = 1 person-hour)
Either way, I call shenanigans!!!
Hmph. I have TWO of them BUT I found/bought them online from a tack shop in upstate NY. And both of them together didn’t cost what VSH is charging for one.
So, there’s another lie: It’s not exclusive to them.
Oh and I love this part: The bridles sell for $49.95 from the farm. We will ship UPS, but require a minimum order of $250. Sooo, you can’t buy “just one?”
And WHO is the rider on these horses? He sits like he is in a recliner!
Must be one of the “professionals” at VSH.
I…HAVE…GOT…TO…STOP…LOOKING AT THIS SITE!
He looks like the TWH riders from the infamous ‘freak of the week’ videos.
Moonriver, that was my first thought looking at the site. This goof is one of the professionals whose fee must be part of what’s getting covered to show the horse to you when you come out to look at it.
Yeah. I’d buy a horse shown to its advantage by that one.
Evil shenanigans! (That’s a movie quote, BTW. Don’t mean to imply that VSH is evil.)
Just saw the price page. Most of them don’t look THAT unreasonable, but the $10-20K ones: can we say “pulling prices out our a$$es?”
I do think Fawkes is cute though. Although I agree about the Bigfoot/Blair Witch quality of the footage!
This is a joke? Right? A combo of the worst stories ever posted on COTH?
These people are like the worst BNT hunter trainers (charging for every little second they spend selling YOU a horse).
They are like bad breeders (It’s a warmblood - really - a warmblood!)
They are like nutty rescue people (we are doing YOU the favor - and you might not be good enough for our horse)
They are like NH people - (only we can load them into our stock trailer)
Bad Ad people (Jumps 4’, but all we have is the photo of a crossrail)
OH GOD - they sell tack like Parelli too…
MY GOD, just priceless!
A. This is a bulletin board, not a listserv
B. The AWS??? Oooh boy! </end sarcasm>
C. I have a life, but thank you for your concern. By the way, nobody here is anonymous. There’s these cool things called I.P. addresses.
D. Gnalli-I’m glad someone appreciates my wit
Amen sista!
Is Merlin’s Mom really Liz’s mom???
Whoever she is, SHE needs to get a life, or at least join us on this planet.
Earth to Merlin’s Mom…these people at VSH are snake oil salesmen, pure and simple. And you have been snookered.
Why oh why won’t ethical horse lover Liz email anyone back???
Moonriver, she’s too busy being the sainted horse-rescuer, as well as dealing with real horsepeople. Of which we can’t possibly be, since we’ve obviously been buying inferior horses all these years and didn’t know it! Oh the shame!!!
Perfect!
I repeat: This thread MUST be saved for all eternity!
HEHEHEHEHEE! I needed a good laugh today and I got it. All of us people who think this is ridiculous don’t have a life-yeah right. I have a life and I spend it buying/selling/breaking/and breeding horses and I think it’s a lot of hoey! I sold a horse over the internet to the States and it was the scariest thing I have ever done. I kept thinking she would get there and they would have a problem with her and I’d have to bring her back. Kept that check until I was sure she wasn’t coming home! The woman who bought her adores her and couldn’t be happier, but scary all the same. Sure I make sure you have a coffee and some biscuits if your coming to look at my horses and I don’t charge either! That quote about jumping 4ft but here’s a picture of him over a crossrail, well now that is funny and so true! HEHEHEHEHE!
Thanks
Terri
Is it just me Liz is ignoring or has she not emailed any of us back???
Equilibruim, I too offer refreshments when people come to try one of my horses. I let one young rider stay all day and fed her lunch! Most people end up hanging out at the barn for awhile anyway, so why not make it pleasant? I actually know where every one of my sold horses are now, and all are with the same people I sold to, AND I get email photos and updates even from 5 years ago. But I guess I am still not the Caring Horse Person that VSH is.
It just keeps getting better…

Gosh they are just brimming with love for their fellow man (and potential customers), aren’t they?
I can onlu guess that what actual customers they have never read the fine print!
