Well Belladona, that would make me a little happier then, knowing it was them BumpASSIANS mispronouncing Louisa!
But I stick by Buck-a-nan, since the local weatherman just this morning pronounced it that’a way!!!

I’m reading this thinking this must be a joke (albeit a very elaborate one-- lots of time building that website). But then I think- would I spend the time or the money building that site for a joke? I guess they are for real but completely out of their minds. Can you say SUCKER? (whoever would agree to those terms).
I had the same thought. While it’s funny to laugh at the ridiculousness of the people behind this operation, it makes me really sad to think about those poor horses.
The horse listed herenamed Contessa is a “Wareblood”…is that half Warewolf, half Warmblood?
I bet she is the only one of those on the internet as well! And she’s spotted - I wonder if what would happen if you crossed her with a Majikal Gypsy Vanner??
These people really have a goldmine…first the Shackney, then the Hypoallergenic Warmblood, now the fabulously unique Wareblood!
AMEN AMEN AMEN. Something stinks royally. They may not intend to, but they sound like a$$hats with all the conditions on what will and won’t happen.
Hello, I want to put my hands all over a horse I buy, because pix can be altered, and horse traders (and that is what they are) are the original used car dealers. Not all are bad, or dishonest, but this website is WEIRD, and I would not be tempted… Hello.
yeah, I didn’t quite get that either. Apparently, whoever they are buying from is advertising the horses for sale as well, but if you happen to look at VSH website and contact them about a horse, then see the same horse at another site for a cheaper price, and buy it from them, they will make it so your horse is not sold to you??WTF (and I don’t use that term!!!:o  ) Talk about ego.
edit
Did this website stop working for anyone else? I’m getting an error message. Perhaps these people have been listening to us…?
Edited to say: Oh, nevermind, now its coming up again. I guess we weren’t so lucky afterall.
We’re probably over-loading their server. If they check their website stats, they’re going to be thrilled with today’s volume!
Yes, one of the ladies here BarbaraJ11 (I think) is taking gaited horse lessons in that town, I believe.
I finally caved and looked at the site. The sad part is that they appear to have some lovely horses. Unfortunately, they are owned by idiots. And, I hate to break it to them, but I can go to any auction or pick up any local rag-mag and find a dozen horses just as nice as what they are showing with none of the psychotic hassle. I must say, it was fun to look at the dozens of other Plow Beasts. It is like Plow Beast heaven at their farm.
we will also provide your name to our customers as a person of questionable integrity so as to assist them in avoiding being cheated on the purchase of a horse. Our suppliers know that anyone that we do not deem to be an honest customer is not one that they are willing to take a chance on for one small sale…
Are you kidding me??? Is this the pot calling the kettle or what? $500 non refundable to go look at a horse, vet checks done AFTER purchase and if you try to cut the “middle man” you have questionable integrity???
WOW!!!

This mixed breed baby pony is worth, according to “several knowledgeable experts,” $35,000 to $50,000. The $500 to go see him should be pocket change!!
And, is it just me, or is the “tobiano” part just not jumping out?
I think their vet check policy is pretty much unbelievable!
Thanks - Like I have time for this. Had to look at the Fawkes video. That fence he jumped at the end did not survive. And the video “hacking out alone” Is the rider the professional trainer who has been working him for 90 days? I just watched a short stirrup division where the kids could ride better. Anyway that hacking out video reminded me of the old bigfoot-shaky-camera video they used to show on TV. Hey and she can make him poop by whistling!
Someone post a thread with the title VA Sport horses and see if anyone ever bought there.
The picture of the chestnut TB stallion - That was touched up - Did anyone notice that horse was dirty? Like he had just had a nice roll.
Why do they purposefully show their horses running around like idiots as their sale video??? Is this a special technique for getting a horse sold faster?
And I’m going to hazard a guess that the Virginia Sport Horse operation is right between Cuckoo and Bumpass. In fact, that’s exactly how I’d describe it.
That baby is by a Connemara stallion Tullymor’s Ned Devine. How could a reputable breeder let one of their babies get into the hands of people like this?
They state that a $7500 gelding would sell for $300 due to unsoundness. They admit to getting horses from PMU farms. They say they sell 1+ horses per day. Well an unsound PMU gelding would probably $300 from the killers. Sounds like they send a LOT off to the killers.
Their “Irish-bred” TB stallion – the one who has been photoshopped onto a different background – is only “Irish-bred” if one goes back three generations to Princequillo and an Irish mare on the dam side.

However, while I am NOT a great pedigree reader, both his sire and his dam (and sire’s dam – see, I have no idea about the breeding terminology) seem to have been big, big winners from big farms. Hmmm…
This site is truly, truly bizarre. Has anyone gotten a response back from Liz Booth?
And the connemara stallion is one of theirs, too. I guess the question is how the stallion’s breeder let it end up at Horses-R-Us … or maybe it’s a Super Horse-Mart? K-Horse? Horseco?
