This year’s gathering is hosted by the Pittman family and will showcase beautiful Dodon Farm, their 550-acre property in Anne Arundel County that has remained in family ownership since 1725. It’s a wonderful example of a uniquely Maryland enterprise. Dodon Farm Training Center transitions Thoroughbred racehorses into second careers, while The Vineyards at Dodon seeks to produce quality wines on unique Dodon Series Soils.
Live music by King Street Bluegrass will set a spirited tone, and hayride tours to the riding demonstrations and the winery during harvest will make this evening fun for all family members. Lt. Governor Anthony Brown will be attending from 4-5pm! Additionally, several legislators have already RSVP’d for the event! There will also be a silent auction and raffle to raise funds for the Horse Council Political Action Committee as we prepare for the 2014 General Assembly.
