Yee-haw, my copy of the MFHA centennial book and DVD arrived today- with a quick skim, it appears it was well worth the wait! Must dash to a meeting now but will be reading and watching DVD at earliest opportunity!
Is’nt it sumptuous??? :o)
It is a gorgeous book isn’t it? As soon as i can afford it I plan to order one for myself.
Our hunt has a decent piece in the DVD
I was unable to use my main DVD player with it…got an “error message”, then on my other player, got the photos but sort of difficult to run thru them…is it just still photos of each hunt or is there an video on it. Any suggestions on looking at the DVD??? What exactly is on it?
I LOVE the book!!!
I’ve just road tested the DVD and it works fine on my computer. What wasn’t evident was ‘where’ to find all the videos and pictures. When it first runs there is an intro (can skip through by hitting the ‘begin’ button), and there are videos by Mason Lampton and Marvin Beeman. But then- go to the hunt roster- and this is where it isn’t obvious- click on the hunt of your choice and THAT brings up a page where you see hunt info plus links to that hunt’s photos and/or videos.
Mine came today too. An awesome job! I have only begun to wade through the book and haven’t tried the DVD, but the pictures and the content look great.
ps
my DVD did not auto start
here’s what i did: (Windows on a PC)
Go to your Start menu and select Run
then browse
then your dvd drive (D?)
double click on MFHA.app
double click on contents
double click on resources
double click on mfha
They did a lovely job!
And I was excited to see a picture of myself and my husband in it.
On my desk top computer, when I put the DVD in the CD slot then ask the computer to check it, the MFHA file doesn’t even show up as a title. No mention of it anywhere, via “Run and Browse” or in “My Computer”. So I think my (older) computer isn’t set up to read DVDs, only CDs. Other plain CDs work fine.
On my laptop, I don’t have the “Adobe Air” and no wireless to download it so that option is out. I might try to hook up my laptop to the DSL line to downlaod what is necessary. Hope that doesn’t mess up my connection to my desktop!
When I put the DVD into either of my DVD players hooked to TVs, it doesn’t really work too well. I can sort of get to the menues but not much beyond that.
I think I need a new computer…
Horses are so much easier…
I’ve been eargerly awaiting this! Hope mine comes…I guess Tuesday!!
Ordered mine yesterday
Don’t know how long it will take. Glad it had good reviews so far.
