Yes, it’s Anky, another horse, another freestyle:winkgrin:; I would like to see how they hey put these together :yes:http://www.youtube.com Now that would be a clinic/ seminar to see!/watch?v=Ck1KFqN3UGg&NR=1 how about it Mike? she’ll be here , in the States, for the next world Cup:yes:
That would be wonderful.
I saw her do a demo freestyle on Nelson and she was miked and went through the whole warm up talking and explaining how she warms up and what she is doing. NEVER got out of breath. Very good sense of humor.
And then rode the free style and discussed it when she was done. It was GREAT! YES, someone arrange for a clinic while she is in the states for the WC.
I think that was the best music selections for one of Anky’s horses since “Song Sung Blue”. I do think the use of the music during the two tempi and canter extensions doesn’t work as well as the rest of it, but overall very, very nice!
NOVA?
Since, no. VA… . is now "the center:cool: " of musical freestyle dressage in the US ; I think it would be only fitting to hold it here:yes:; How about it:confused: Mike? Janet?
Only if Theo approves.

But Mike when these riders are coming over to the States they might not agree with the “Music First Approach” system which you preach.
Remember, Reiner Klimke’s famous words “First comes the horse, next the choreography and then the music must follow my horse and the choreography”.
I agree. The entrance down the centerline was absolute perfection!
I loved her music, it fit him perfectly! I like it much better than Salinero’s. However, he is not quite the horse that Sal is. I really liked the work!

What we see these days is that more and more top-musicians, bands and orchestra’s are entering the dressage freestyle to music arena. The new freestyle to music of Richard Davison is constructed by Sir Elton John and the Royal Liverpool Orchestra. We have seen people and bands like Abba, Wibi Sourjardi, Jane Vayne and more, and many more to come, who have discovered this whole new way to promote themselves and their CD’s. The flipside of the coin however is that the perfect freestyle to music is becoming more and more out of reach for people with a low(er) budget. However looking at the top-10 of the best music productions we still see the SongSongBlue, Zorba, James Bond, Jerusalaim, Isla Bonita and Lemon Tree freestyles are topping the charts. And to be stricly honest some amateurs (no not all) who send me their own productions did a marvelous job with their home-PC’s. Productions that can easily compete with the $$$$$$$$$ music.

I agree with this. Some of the riders who paid $$$$ for their Olympic freestyles could have gone to some of these amateurs and saved money AND gotten a better freestyle.

But Mike at the top it has not only to do with the quality of the choreography and music, but with the publicity and PR :yes::yes:
Give me one name of a judge who has the guts to tell that Wibi’s, Abba’s or Sir Elton John’s musicproductions aren’t good. Before Anky or Imke set one foot in the ring, they had already 2 hours of primetime television “the making off” .
But it was the public that told Anky that her SongSongBlue music was much better than her $$$$$$ Bonfire-symphony.
I have a video called “dressage in the blood”, in which the riders showed all kind of choreography and music to the public and let the public decide which music and choreography to use. And it worked

Correct me if I’m wrong. Certainly it is lovely, and it does suit Painted Black, but this music was originally for Krack C and was used by Anky at least as far back as 2002 at the WEG in Jerez. Sorry I could not find link to that footage.
