You could do it as a google form…basically a survey that then gives the creator a database of the results…that way it might not come off as so sketchy. Maybe try posting it in each of the forums for your initial data.
I think once it’s a tool that’s a little more practically useful in terms of the n of saddles represented you can try going more public with it.
Neat tool. It would be great to have options of what is in your database populate as a drop down. IE: Choose hunter saddle and in the “what brand” you would have a drop down of all hunter brands available that you have info for. Once a brand is selected then the “what model” would populate with those choices. So on and so forth. Just a personal preference for me, but it still works great how it is now.
The website doesn’t seem to be working anymore. Did you give up? 
This users last activity date was in January so not sure that you will get a response. Since the site isn’t working I think it is safe to assume this project was scrapped.
