A new one for the colour experts. An unusual filly...

Rather striking

She is very cool indeed! We’ve been discussing her over on FB …

Chimera for sure. No real evidence of brindle. Buckskin mixed with possible palomino, and then bay or black as well - outside chance of the darker coat colour being smoky black

It will be very interesting to hear the outcome of the DNA tests on this one

That is one crazy critter, it should be fun to see how she sheds out.

Cool! I want one!

If she was mine I think I would name her marble cake

she looks chimeric to me. brindle is a form of chimerism in horses. it could also be a bloody shoulder marking - they are not always dark brown.

Hey Donna, is the FB page you’re on for colour, solely? Open or private? Thanks:)

Yes, very very like a chimera. Very unlikely she’s also brindle, of whatever origin.

I do hope her owners will post regular updates of her shedding and new coat. I’m dying to see how she progresses.

MissJ - it was a private thread started by a friend on her timeline. Im sure some of the colour boards are also having a lot of lively discussions on this one as well!

I hope they pull hair from both colors!

They will have to, as only 1 set of DNA will be in each color
