A POLL ON BANNING RACING AT SARATOGA ( and everywhere)

Vote people!!!

Polls are so stupid. They carry no weight whatsoever regardless of the outcome. I really hate that a tv station is trying to make it a thing by giving them an audience outside of their FB followers.

Welp, I hope their group has plans for buying and paying for every horse that no longer has a racing job. I also hope they have a safety net in place for every person who makes a living supporting racing including grooms, feed manufacturers and sellers, veterinarians, support staff of all stripes at the venues, etc etc.

I just commented in group on facebook, about this. Told the woman she had a lot of nerve posting a petition to ban racing in an OTTB group. Then asked her where she thought her OTTB came from. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Remember, animal rights extremists are not after real action, just want to make noise, thrive on the publicity, to turn the general public against any and all we do with animals, so next time that public sees a horse somewhere first thinks, is that one of those animals some abuse?
Also to keep people wanting to give to those oh so kind groups that need the money to save that sad kitten in some shelter cage, never mind that is not where the money goes.

That is their goal, not to eliminate racing itself, if not here, they would be demonstrating somewhere else there are animals.

That opportunity there is but one more step for them to their ultimate goal to “free the animal slaves”.

Here is a dated Aussie article that is long overdue to be written by the American turf press. The USA horse racing contribution to the entire equine industry is incalculable. The turf press has consistently ignored its responsibility to report the factual information when the game has been attacked with lies. Their absence in the debate will not only be the destruction of the game, but also put them out of a job. You may recall the late Thoroughbred Times. I would not mind some factual self serving reporting by the turf press.
