A puppy for me?

I have been tossing my GoDogs in the wash and dryer (cold water, low heat) for over a decade. I have never had any issues with squeakers or the fabric getting weird.

Like you, I just snip off the tag and sometimes there is a loop for hanging (display use). Its funny how both my dogs and your dogs perfer the; dinos, gators and dragon. I think its because there is less stuffing in those. We have a rabbit that is at the bottom on the play totem pole and is mega stuffed with crinkly plastic with a squeaker.

ETA: I also will preform surgery on any rip and frankenstein it back together with any rip or tear that may happen with rough play.

If that’s been working for you, I’ll try it. My dog loves the squeakers, and GoDog recommends against machine washing for that reason.

Off topic: Have you tried any of their toys with the squeakers only dogs can hear? I haven’t yet. Kinda afraid to, because I can hear the ultrasonic devices meant to stop dogs from barking – it was an awful experience being exposed to that, even very briefly. Which I would think should be impossible, but perhaps it was a defective unit, other person there didn’t hear it. No wonder dogs stop barking, they’re in pain!

I’d rather hear my dog having fun.

Back to topic: the GoDog toys are great:

I have not tried the squeakers only dogs can hear. I actually just de-squeeked all of my GoDogs this weekend due to my other dog freaking out with all of the squeaking the pup makes.

If you toss a GoDog into the wash and it gets weird I will personally replace it. I Promise!! I will even stand behind this promise until the end of the year.

Raises right hand I solemly swear to replace any GoDog to Jarpur that gets ruined via the wash between now and Christmas.

My pittie/boxer used to suck on his ‘babies’ and they would get super gross. They were tossed in the wash every 3 months or so. The new puppy is playing with GoDogs that she inherited from Riley. They are not the original GoDogs, but they have some age on them.

I still miss my Boxer! Looking forward to puppy pics!

I discovered a good housebreaking method with my last boy. I got a bell (I think it was for parrots, but any bells will do.) I hung that from the door, and showed him how to swat it with his paw and then I’d open the door and take him out. By the end of the first day he was running to the bell and ringing it to go out. He couldn’t always hold it long enough to not pee right at the door, but he got the concept right away. He had maybe a handful of accidents ever.

Don’t worry about it! I’d never take you up on your generous offer, but thanks for the thought. Personally, I prefer the crinkly sounds some of the toys make (dragon wings!). My girl’s current fav is the Tri-Tops dino that I hand-washed over-enthusiastically one too many times, its squeaker no longer works and she still loves it.

To the OP, you can tell that we, and our dogs, absolutely love these toys. I had a terrible scare with a squeaker from a brand-new toy of another brand (replacement of the same toy that had served long and well for a previous dog). The squeaker came out through the plush the first time she played with the toy, within a couple of minutes!

I managed to retrieve the pieces, as she let me stick my fingers into her mouth all the way to the back, and the ER clinic (of course this was on a weekend night) was able to put the pieces back together to match a second squeaker retrieved by eviscerating the toy. I’m still glad I took her in, as I wouldn’t have wanted to trust that I had correctly assembled the chewed-up pieces myself, even though the exam fee is normally several hundred dollars (but the clinic didn’t charge me! which was amazingly generous of them).

This is an 11 pound dog (less at the time, when she was a half-grown pup), so not a big bruiser. She only has GoDog toys now.

Go Dogs and Snuggles are ordered. Actually, Amazon will be arriving with a semi today because I ordered more that what will fit in the usual delivery truck. Good thing we have a big driveway.

We met the puppy yesterday and she is precious and beautiful. We are picking her up Friday afternoon! She is nine weeks old. Her littermates have all gone to their homes, and her mother has also returned to her home. She’s already been working on crate training and house training, so I think my worries there are going to be OK. I’m sure she will have accidents, but she’s on a good path. I do not want to be like the person who buys a nice colt and turns it into a junky one with poor training! Hopefully, our horse experience will translate into puppy raising success.

I’ll post a picture as soon as a figure out how!

I am so in love with her!

That wittle pouty lip, floppy ears and her knuckle head!   She has a nice snout too.

We had boxers when I was a kid. They are clowns in dog suits. I can’t wait to see her grow up!

PS. you have an Amazon semi truck full of dog toys coming! Lucky Katie, she hit the jackpot!!

Her pointy little head and squishy little face… she hardly looks like a real puppy! We can’t wait to have her home.

That was his Halloween costume this year :joy:. We do pup box (subscription for puppies) and they usually send themed toys

Here’s a recommendation for an inexpensive toy.

Ziva’s current favorite is an empty 2-liter soda bottle. She is obsessed with it! It makes a lot of noise, but IMO that’s a good thing because then we know exactly where she is and what she’s doing.

This sounds like a great idea! Kate is learning to quietly do bad things!

Here’s Kate Boxer, napping on the chair. She loves this red zebra blanket. It’s in her crate (where she is sleeping all night long!) and then she takes it out and drags it around the house to sleep on during the day.

This morning, she slept until 7:00, was up for three hours, and is sleeping again! I am starting to see hints that the sleepy sweet puppy stage is ending and the attack shark phase is coming.
