A real, thin, rain sheet

yes, but also water resistant. We get rain at night sometimes. While my guy has a shed to use, it would be the rolling in the yummy wet muddy grass i would like to mitigate…

thanks! I’m getting educated about deiner (sp?)

I ordered a turnout version. I’ll let everyone know how it works! $50 including shipping!

Yes, the “smoking jackets” that Weatherbeata made about 30 years ago were very thin nylon and water resistant. But, I haven’t seen anything exactly like them in years.

I see you found something, but I had an earlier version of this sheet from Amigo that I liked for staying cleanish turned out overnight in warmer weather: https://www.horseware.com/en-us/horseware-amigo-aussie-all-rounder-0g-light

The Bucus Sun Shower is made for warm temps to keep them dry. Love mine and it’s more durable than the Amigo Mio.

The Rambo summer series sheet is waterproof on top and the sides are mesh. Great for transitions when it’s going to rain but you want them clean and cool.

thanks everyone for the additional ideas.

I was about to suggest the sun shower. I have one, it’s lined with just a fairly large hole mesh. It’s light, my mare gets it for those late spring showers where the days are mostly warm and sunny.

I don’t know if it’s what OP is looking for, as I don’t think I’ve been buying blankets long enough to have come across what’s being described

I apologize if this seems like a silly question, but if it’s that hot down there, why do they need a sheet at all? I am in the Midwest and if it’s spring/ summer with a warm rain, I just let them get wet.

@Shagyas_Rock , We get evening showers. I own a grey horse who lives out mostly 24x7 unless there is big lightning. He loves to roll once he gets the slightest bit damp. I can pull it if necessary when I do night check/hay ( he comes running when I turn lights on LOL). Our nighttime temps in the summer average 70-71, so not too hot.
