LH is here and thanks everyone for their kind thoughts. I was too busy trying to get the correct 22 entries into the Classicand just now succeeded. I had no idea that I was able to move other peoples’ pictures around. (for those who had qualified but not posted).
But, desperation leads to creative solutions and, I am SO HAPPY becausd all this fiddling means I have found a way to avoid sending out 176 emails with attachments!! Everyone can download their own ribbons and trophies and to say that I am overjoyed is an understatement.
The method (at least the one I found in my frantic trial and error today) will be forthcoming in the ribbon thread that I cannot post until (hopefully) our WONDERFUL awards chairperson, Rumors Follow, whips up something that she and I forgot to order last week…
Kudos go out to RF for her gorgeous trophies and ribbons and for creating more at midnight when we found ourselves in a bind on Sun night. Thank you RF!!!
And, of course, thanks also to DMK, the chief tabulator. I offered her title of Assistant Show Manager (you can get a lot of work out of people by giving out fancy titles ) but she said that she wanted to be known only as Chief Tabulator, since she didn’t want people getting mad at the Assistant HS Manager; no one ever gets mad at the Chief Tabulator.
So, a raise of the wine glass to both hardy souls. And also to Glen Crawford who is a spread sheet wiz and whose job is just starting. He will now be taking over and tweaking figures to come up with some analysis of what the judging means (whether people who entered a class consistantly judged that class higher or lower than the judging average, etc.) and also to determine who wins our final award: BEST JUDGE. This will be the person whose scores came closest to the final pinnings in every class. Glen, thanks in advance for your help.
I only wish I could have judged more classes. But I am now off to judge the Classic. What a wonderful group of horses we have there…
