A Special Award for Lord Helpus...

In appreciation for all that she did in thinking up and putting together the 2001 COTH BB Horse Show, I think there is one more trophy to be given out.

Although the year is not quite over, I doubt anyone will protest my giving the 2001 COTH BB Horse Shows Manager Of The Year to Lord Helpus.

Thanks for everything Pam!!

That’s a wonderful momento! Good idea. We’ll forever know that Pam’s heart is in the right place. Now, if the chiropractor can just materialilze and get her fingers and shoulders back in the right place…

Heck, this was my best showing this year! I can’t remember a time when the “Maniacal one” was so consistent and easy going.

Thanks again.

LH is here and thanks everyone for their kind thoughts. I was too busy trying to get the correct 22 entries into the Classicand just now succeeded. I had no idea that I was able to move other peoples’ pictures around. (for those who had qualified but not posted).

But, desperation leads to creative solutions and, I am SO HAPPY becausd all this fiddling means I have found a way to avoid sending out 176 emails with attachments!! Everyone can download their own ribbons and trophies and to say that I am overjoyed is an understatement.

The method (at least the one I found in my frantic trial and error today) will be forthcoming in the ribbon thread that I cannot post until (hopefully) our WONDERFUL awards chairperson, Rumors Follow, whips up something that she and I forgot to order last week…

Kudos go out to RF for her gorgeous trophies and ribbons and for creating more at midnight when we found ourselves in a bind on Sun night. Thank you RF!!!

And, of course, thanks also to DMK, the chief tabulator. I offered her title of Assistant Show Manager (you can get a lot of work out of people by giving out fancy titles ) but she said that she wanted to be known only as Chief Tabulator, since she didn’t want people getting mad at the Assistant HS Manager; no one ever gets mad at the Chief Tabulator.

So, a raise of the wine glass to both hardy souls. And also to Glen Crawford who is a spread sheet wiz and whose job is just starting. He will now be taking over and tweaking figures to come up with some analysis of what the judging means (whether people who entered a class consistantly judged that class higher or lower than the judging average, etc.) and also to determine who wins our final award: BEST JUDGE. This will be the person whose scores came closest to the final pinnings in every class. Glen, thanks in advance for your help.

I only wish I could have judged more classes. But I am now off to judge the Classic. What a wonderful group of horses we have there…

Yes YES YES!!!

Both Pam and DMK deserve hazard pay for their hard work and efforts. Muchos Gracias, merci beaucoup, etc., ladies.

… for an outstanding job!

This was a great getaway and my cc isn’t suffering from the “road trip”!

Thank you all for an outstanding effort. I just marvel at the creativity and effort. Gee, and I thought I had finished for the year.

Thanks again.

Thanks Pam and DMK for a job well done!!!

Her hands must really be in bad shape!

Well done, girls, I hope you will one day be able to type again!

Laurie

At risk of sounding repetitive: THANKS GUYS!!!
If I can help with any future shows further than the sponsorships let me know. (as long as it doesn’t mean that Spaghetti can’t enter a costume class) (He’s superhorse in his blue body suit)I love to be of help.

Another vote for the wonderful job done by Pam and DMK. So much fun was had by all.

Cheers, Maggi

Why thank you all!

Type… yes… 10 key entry? The phrase “cold day in hell” is running through my mind

I glanced at another thread where someone had missed the show, and hoped we could do a fall classic, and then I realized that it was, in fact, “fall”… A cold shiver rolled up my spine

Ah what the heck - give me a week and I’m sure all those brain cells will have died, and I will be cheerfully volunteering again!

And just to clarify, I believe I stated that I strive for positions of power with no real accountability…

In short, I would make the perfect consultant!

Yep, thanks to both of you for all of your hard work to put this fun event together…

Three cheers for Pam and DMK!! Great job you two, I don’t know anyone who could have run it better

E

You crack me up, DMK.

Glad to see you are alive and well, Pam!

Laurie

Pam and DMK, you both did a wonderful job. Many, many thanks!

Maybe a Holiday Classic around Christmas time??

I think this may be my best chance of showing. Easy transportation, and the accomodations are the best. And what a happy show office to deal with.

What more could one ask for?

“The older I get, the better I used to be, but who the heck cares!”

Thank you Pam and DMK for a very fun show!

Maybe I’ll even sponsor a costume class, so get your reindeer antlers and stocking caps ready. I understand the Red Cross is concerned about widows (especially those with fatherless kids) making their mortgage payments. What a great way to spread some holiday cheer!

Okay, mix up the eggnog to we can revive Lord Helpus and DMK, who have just fainted…
