I feel like I can understand your pain.
I lost my friend in 2016. She was an amazing person- her smile was filled with some much joy that her boyfriend had an album of photos of just her smiling. She was an animal activist, a friend to all and truly a pure, happy soul.
She was struck and killed by a truck while riding her bike on her way to work.
I can say that the hole that is left in our hearts will never be filled.
However, spending endless time trying to bike riding in my state or banning trucks would have been useless. People will always ride bikes or drive trucks just like people will always ride horses. There is always a risk in anything you do.
Maybe she would still be alive if she hadn’t ridden her bike just like your aunt would maybe be alive but that’s why life is so unpredictable- because you never know when anything can happen. It just does.
