Abbreviation explanation?

Can someone explain the meaning of the abbreviations of the “accolades” given to mares in Germany?

St. Pr. St. and St. Pr. A

thank you

St.Pr.St. = States Premium Mare

"State Premiums are only awarded in Germany - the UK equivalent for Hanoverians is Elite mare.

To be awarded St Pr St in Lower Saxony, mares have to gain marks over 7.0 on their ridden performance test & be awarded 1A at a mare show as a 3 or 4 year old - they can only go to one mare show a year.

If they are awarded a 1A they are then become a State Premium candidate - St Pr A.

When they foal within a specified period - 3 years I think? they are then St Pr St.

I am not sure if this is similar in all German studbooks?"

Here is a better explanation in regards to what St. Pr. St. (State Premium) means. http://hanoverian-gb.org.uk/drupal/?q=node/12

thank you - I am still stumped on St. Pr. A

Is that for younger mares who haven’t had time to have the foal that will earn them St. Pr. St?

Yes.

St. Pr. A means States Premium Aspirant.

This is for a mare that has met inspection and MPT or performance requirements but not yet had a foal.
