Abigail the BLM burro

We’re at the hospital now. Abigail has been amazing. She is so patient and cooperative. Tony is being himself. A land shark.

So far, nothing of concern during the physical. They don’t think she needs the full set of X-rays (sedated on her back). They left it up to me whether or not to X-ray for kissing spine. Nothing points to it but donkeys are so stoic. I opted for it, just in case. I’m about to start her training for driving and pack saddle so it would be good to know if there’s anything going on.

Tony seems to be saying: “The most important person here is ME.” :joy:

Good for Abigail! She’s such a beautiful girl. Tony seems to have made the most out of his day.

I’m wondering if the flinching the vet saw was a muscle strain or other temporary soreness. Probably from Tony, lol.

The big state vet hospital is in one of the local big cities. Construction rerouted me through downtown. We were in this canyon of tall buildings. Every time we stopped at a light, Tony let out his battle cry. It echoed through downtown! People were looking and laughing (they could see the donkeys through the back).

Having experienced a full volume donkey bray, I can imagine what that sounded like   .
