Oh, man, that’s a doozy! Abscesses can be so funny—the horse I mentioned above briefly came sound at the walk but was still lame at the trot (which had me sweating bullets), which is when we finally did the block and I was able to breathe a sigh of relief. Of course, today, it looks like his TB brother (barefoot) is going to blow one through the toe. Horses are not very amenable to the plans we make for them!
