Adding stall in existing overhang

I have a 4 stall barn and added 10’ wide overhangs on either side, long/narrow but what I could do given existing barn location. I want to add a stall under one overhang, and would like to add more protection from weather (hot summers/cold winters). I could just enclose the stall area, but hoping temporary options for seasonal changes could work. Like the strip curtains or mosquito netting? I would also like to add a railroad tie or similar “box” to contain some shavings in the stall area. I think a gate midway would be nice as the stall wall. But looking for inputs if possible - what works/what doesn’t. TIA! This is older photo of the overhang - I’ve since added kickboards to the barn wall (all wood) and the stalls (2) now have Dutch windows, so the new stall would be located in the portion of the overhang closest to the camera in this photo.

I use a painters canvas drop cloth on the open side to block wind rain sun, I just strap it directly to the wood, average lifespan is three years

I get them from Harbor Freight for under $15 for a 9ft by 12ft trap

I installed shade cloth for the summer and now plan to leave it up through the winter. It blocks rain pretty well. It started to snag on one of the support posts so I put duct tape over the splintery spot. It’s held up well, including through the effects of hurricane Helene.
