I was perusing Valley Vet and other sites trying to find the best deal on Adequan, and stumbled onto Chrondroprotec which looks to be the same drug for literally half the price. I tried a search here and on Google in general, but came up with a whole lot of nothing. Does anyone know if the Chrondroprotec can be used for the same issues/ in the same manner as Adequan? It would make it a whole lot cheaper if so!
It was either my vet or farrier mentioned within the last two months that there was a generic coming out of Adequan. I can’t say this is what they were talking about, but maybe.
Nope. Not the same, and not a generic Adequan.
Sure, people inject it, when it’s actually labeled for use in wound management. And some get good results. But it’s not Adequan.
Just because something is also a PSGAG does not mean it’s the same thing.
Chondroprotec has been around for a really long time, definitely not new, so not any "generic Adequan’ that might be coming out
Good to know! For my curiosity - what is the difference?
