Please find a fitter more local to fit you…this fitter is leaving out half of the equation if she is not gearing the saddle towards the rider too!
But not all women need a “woman’s saddle”. Many women have narrower hips/pelvis and can ride comfortably in a normal saddle. Since all men and many women can ride in a traditional saddle I doubt all companies are designing for women. That’s why I only look at saddles that are specifically made for women since I have a specific issue.
I checked out the Albion site. The dressage saddles come in regular or narrow seat, which is the complete opposite of what some women need. If they were making saddles for women they would offer wide seats. Definitely not a company making saddles with women in mind.
I had a Kent and masters that fit my wide horse perfectly, but I could not ever get it to work for me. It was the cob style and the twist was wide. I had to go to Pelham saddlery in NH and sit in tons of saddle before finding something that worked for me. Being short plus a wide horse is a tough combination. Imo back pain is a bad sign, I’d return it.
