Why does Adobe Flash Player Pop Up to be installed on my computer literally EVERY time I click to read, return,etc when in COTH?
I have answered to Not install - dont ask again but it returns with EVERY click.
This has been happening for 2 days and only when I am in the COTH BB- no other site.
I am not going to install this - how do I get rid of this pop up?
Do you already have Adobe Flash installed?
No only reader 7.0 - Do not want to install on this computer - one would think “no dont install” would be sufficient and it would go away, bit it still pops up with EVERY click EVERY time and only when in COTH. I dont need flash player to just read - does anyone know how to stop it without installing?
What is triggering it is the Smartpak banner ad at the top of every forum page - it is a flash ad. Really, so many sites use flash these days, that the obvious solution is just to install it. If you are dead set against that, try going into your browser’s security controls and disabling prompting for and installing of Active X controls.
