Adoptive Horse Owner Survey (Ontario)

Attention: Have you ever adopted a horse from a horse rescue facility in Ontario?

If so, you are being invited to participate in an online survey. As a current graduate student at the University of Guelph in the Department of Animal Biosciences, I am interested in investigating specific horse characteristics that may be associated with the length of time horses spend at rescue facilities as well as specific horse characteristics that may be able predict successful adoption. Results from this survey will:

Assess specific horse characteristics associated with the length of time horses spend at rescue facilities

Assess specific horse characteristics associated with successful adoption

Help develop prescreening, marketing, and adoption suggestions for horse rescue facilities to increase the number of successful adoptions annually

Improve equine welfare by decreasing the number of unwanted horses in Ontario

The survey is anonymous and consists of two parts. Part 1 of the survey will take 15-20 minutes to complete and Part 2 of the survey will take 10+ minutes to complete depending on the amount of information included in your survey response.
