Adult beginner lessons in Virginia--NoVAish

I have a coworker (adult male) who is interested in getting into riding (Western). He asked me because I’m the “horse girl” at the office but I event, and don’t know much about the local Western community.

Does anyone know a place that gives adult western lessons with school horses? We work in Warrenton, so NoVA-ish but doesn’t have to be too close in.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Paul Wasyln and his wife from Rixeyville have a good reputation. I do not know, if they have lesson horses. He is into cutting. He is best reached by phone.

Here is a link to his page- http://diamondcfarm.com/index.htm

Then, there is Cornerstone Horsemanship from Reva, VA, also cutting primarily, I think. Your colleague can look up their page. They seem to offer lessons on their horses. I do not know them at all- just saw a demonstration and some of the students a couple of years ago.

I would try Paul first.

Lucky Drive Ranch in Catlett is great. I may have a few numbers on my community board at The Galloping Grape if you stop by.

Another vote for Paul at Diamond C.
