Adult Riders in Colorado Where to Start Back?

Hello COTH,
I am looking for some advice, I have taken some time off from riding… like 10 years, I’m in my mid 30s and i want to get back in to it.
At this point i think all i will be able to handle time wise is weekly lessons which kinda kills me. (back in the day i was the one teaching lessons) but if it gets me back in the saddle it will be great!

So this is where you come in, Im just outside of Boulder Co and looking for a program with a jumper trainer that would have a horse for me to ride and get my foundations back.hopefully with other adults! Eventually I hope to lease or own again and maybe even compete, for now baby steps!
Any direction of places to look at /stay away from would be great. Im also going to post in the Riderless Horse Thread.

TIA!

Try the CHJA website under the trainer directory. Not sure who is up that way since I live in Elizabeth.

I was exactly in your shoes a few years ago. Mid-thirties…been out 10 years…wanted to ride again. I went to Cascade Farms in Longmont and was thrilled. Great lesson horses and a great barn atmosphere. I’ve since moved to another barn and now own my own horse again, but still can’t say enough good things about Cascade.

I second Laurie Grayson.
I am down south so I don’t know many people up further north but know only great things about Laurie.
