Looking for trailer to hold horse and carriage - has anyone seen the carriage treka in the USA??
I looked up the carriage treka trailer
I don’t think it is for sale -at least on a regular basis - in this country
we have a cotner aluminum trailer on steel frame
ours was custom built to hold the carriage and 2 large horses
side by side
but we saw one once that was almost the same but with slant load for horses
we went with the straight load because for the length of our horses the slant does not work as well (84 blanket)
also the custom part was to remove the wall between the horses and the front dressing room which we had extended by 2 feet
the carriage we were trying to load at that time was a horse size eagle. Most marathon carriages are a bit shorter in total length
Now we use it with a 2-wheel road cart loaded with the shafts facing the rear and tied up to the frame at the top
total length of the trailer is 18 feet inside with the hitch extending further in front 2 more feet
we have been very happy with the flexibility of this trailer configuration and it is a fully enclosed trailer, unlike a stock trailer
Thanks - there is a dealer in Oregon.

If I didn’t already have a brenderup, I would seriously consider this one. Made by Fautras, the carriage rides in front of the horse compartment.
